Should India attack Pakistan after the recent Mumbai terror attacks?

After the recent Mumbai terror attacks, international pressure has been mounting on Pakistan. The lone terrorist caught claims to be a Pakistani. Pakistani government seems to be ready to co-operate with the Indian government on paper but is not doing so. All the evidence also seems to be stacked up against Pakistan. India seems to be having the support from most of the leading countries to attack terror camps in Pakistan. Do you think India should go on war with Pakistan and destroy the terror infrastructure there? What are your views...

I don't think India should attack Pakistan. That will eventually just cause more troubles between the two and lead to war. The last thing we need in this world is another war. After Georgia and Russia I think everyone needs to just calm down.

pakistan has its own reputation in the world and if it accepts that those terrorists are from their country only, it will surely affect their position and reputation in front of the world. talking about war with pakistan, i don't think it would be right because it will not resolve this matter ultimately it will only create more problems for both the countries

Pakistan has the most immature leadership i have ever seen.
I feel sad for the citizens who have to deal with such moody un-coordinated leaders.
Just recently they were on the verge of accepting that Kasab (the arrested terrorist) is a Pakistani citizen but they went back and forth so many times on that statement it just sounds silly now.

Every country in the world has the right to maintain security and protect itself from external terrorist attacks . Pakistan supports terrorist organization plying their activities on the land of Pakistan just to cripple India and disrupt its unity. India & Pakistan being nuclear countries, may bring about havoc in both the countries and they will suffer heavy losses in all respects, so India should avoid attack on Pakistan and bring pressure from all sides on Pakistan to curb terrorist activities .

i don't think India should attack Pakistan for the Mumbai attack because you just punish the whole country for the deeds of the few.

there are only a few people who are responsible for this activity and who would also encourage it in the future. Pakistan and India both together should solve this problem and attack those areas and people where this kind of activity takes place.

I very much agree with other members that India should not attack Pakistan. There are many reasons to support my view:
a) Pakistan being nuclear armed can retaliate at the slightest provocation.
b) Pakistan has got huge support from China who are always looking for a chance to weaken India.
c) War will channel all the finance towards weapons instead of spending on welfare activities.

Main thing is, terrorism supported by Pak, should be dealt with in a very smart way by the Indians. We should strengthen RAW who can bring vital intelligence in Indian government's eyes.

Its not easy to stop terrorism, but people can do their little to prevent terrorist attacks. People should be conscious enough of their surroundings. What's happening, who is new face in their area, and many things. People can also hire security agencies for the safety of their home and family.

Good Heavens, no, I don't think India should attack Pakistan, all that will do is cause more trouble and "make a mountain out of a molehill". Okay, so the 'molehill' may have been a big one but still, ugh...no!!! I dread ever having to hear about war on anyone (regardless of who they are or where they may be) because I just find it (war) flat out wrong. In all seriousness, it scares the be-dickens right out of me, I wouldn't even wish it on my worst enemy. Besides, taking into consideration the "snowball effect", if one attack just leads right into another and then back again (and so and so on and so) "would it 'sincerely' ever end?" Actually, when I think about it, it rather brings to my mind a never-ending game of ping pong; back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. The game needs to stop sometime, but it's anyone's call as to who's going to be the bigger man and call it quits.

Well, I'm totally against violence and wars as it leads to destructions only everywhere. According to me India shouldn't attack pakistan, because many people innocent people would be killed from both sides. From my point of view, pakistan is also facing the problem terrorists attacks.

There is no way India ever think of attacking Pakistan. As the saying goes - If someone slaps on your face, one should not run to kill him. The root cause that is the terrorists. Indian and Pakistani armed forces should open all ways to find out these terrorists and terrorists camps should be destroyed to avoid any such futrher actions by terrorists.

India can't attack Pakistan by any means, RAW already done pretty good demage in Pakistani Baluchistan and NWFP, so they should cry for RAW for not doing something.. They are supporting TTP, and BLA and providing them weapons, money..

The recent attack clearly shows loophole in indian security, but they are diverting attention of their people, while puting pakistan involvement, which is not the case. Yes there is chance of some pakistani involve.. but pakistan a.k.a pakistan government or intelligence involvement don't make sense.. since they are already been pretty busy in removing the mess created by RAW in our country.. Pakistani officials already put those guys behind the bars, but it is India which fail to provide complete evidence against them and court release them just because of lack of evidences. India is always very good in putting his mess on others, and same thing happened in Mumbai Attack. And if India attack pakistan, then their whole economy growth will be history.. Pakistan has nothing to lose, they are already been pushed backward.

my opinion india should not attack pakistan for that,india is a peaceful country it always love to have peace. pakistan was once upon a time it was a part of india so india should just give the warning.........

India should attack pakistan and smash it totally bcz pakistan is the bastard country in the world. but what can india do when the leadership of the country is a hinjda.all guys in this chat room should think abt it bcz they will realize if someone of their own died in this attack their view may be not like as it is.
