We all know that Prostitution in any way is illegal. It is considered as a serious crime with penalties ranging up to life imprisonment. Child Prostitution in the Philippines most of which are women or young girls, is very rampant as a matter of fact Philippines ranked fourth among nine nations with the most number of children working as prostitutes. It has been estimated that there are between 60,000 to 100,000 children trafficked into prostitution or 3,366 more children are forced every year into prostitution.
Most common areas that cater prostitution in the Philippines are through bars, Massage Parlors, Casa, Karaoke Bars, KTV's and in the street walks. The mere reasons why Filipino women are choosing this job are primarily because of their financial incapacity. Their choice of work is necessary to support their poor parents. Most children trafficked into prostitution are non-graduates. As for them, they can easily find money through prostitution. Children aged eleven to fifteen are already engaged to prostitution.
