George Obama and Drugs - Drug Abuse in Kenya

These days children as young as 6 years old are into drugs in Africa. Sniffing of glue is very popular among street children in Africa especially in Nigeria. Weed or ganga is very popular among teens. In fact, most teens have their own "weed gardens" in Africa where they grow the crop themselves and smoke every bit of it from the leaves to the roots. Just recently in the news, the half brother of Barack Obama the president of the United States of America was caught with cannabis popularly known as bhang in Kenya. here is George Obama, the half brother of Barack Obama. George is in his mid-twenties:



The birth certificate of George Obama shows that he is the half brother of President Barack Obama. Mr. Barack Obama Sr. died in a car accident when George was just 6 years old so like President Obama, George hardly knows his father. Even though George and Barack Obama have met before, the two men hardly know each other. George lives in a slum in Nairobi with an extended family member while Obama is the President of the United States. According to George, he was brought up well and he likes it there in the slums. Unlike Barack Obama's grandmother, George gets no attention from the media and continues to live as a poor young man in the Nairobi slum. "... well, I like it here in the slums" he said.

6 year olds snuffing clue? This seems to me like very tragic and literally "unreal" scene. Teenagers having their own little "weed garden" sounds like a real cool thing to me. They get their weed to warm their souls and they learn about agriculture. Probably the best a street child can do.

But what has obamas brother or half-brother to do with this issue? Why is everyone going so political here?
