I really think losing weight depends on upon the person. I think the first necessity is willpower, if you don't have that then you will end up giving in. It is best to try a few techniques such as an increase in exercise, changing your diet or just buying healthier food and see what suits you the most.

What i feel that your diet is not responsible for excessive weight. Its about your lifestyle.Whatever your diet is you can neutralize it with your workouts. As there is a fact that Tt lose one pound, you must burn approximately 3500 calories over and above what you already burn doing daily activities. Therefore workout is must to remain fit.

i think the best way to get rid of the extra fat in your body is to drink lots of water and to eat as much roughage as you can. Balanced diet is also a key. One should also avoid chocolate products and fried food as much as they can. Jogging is also very effective in weight loss

I think the best way to lose weight, is to just eat right and exercise. I know it seems the hardest but in the long run its the best for you and your body. Not only will your body be healthier, but you'll lose weight and become more disciplined (and everyone that exercises on a regular basis can tell you it takes discipline to do it lol).
If you do exercise and eat right but still find it difficult to lose weight, I would suggest going to a gym and perhaps getting a trainer to help you, you might not be doing the right exercises. You can also try going to a nutritionist to help you plan an effective diet. |

You should go and see an endocrinologist doctor ,too , maybe is not what you eat that makes you fat but a disease. Or it might be just your age , it is known that the basal metabolic rate changes after a certain age , that means is much slower and normally you don't burn out the same calories as you did before. |

Yoga can come to your rescue if you are really serious of losing that extra flab....
Yoga involves doing some terrific yet very simple breathing exercises and I have personally seen it giving good results. No precaution is necessary as far as eating habits are concerned...though it is preferred if you reduce the intake of vegetable oils in your food...and also that of butter and creams. it is also important to take few small bites of food several times in a day rather than taking two jumbo sized meals. Regards, Walker |

Just like what people always say, I think the most important thing is to eat right and exercise regularly. Cut down on junk food and eat fruits instead when you feel like snacking. Eat healthy and exercise well to burn off the excess fats.
If its still not working, then maybe you can try monitoring your food intake by recording down the calories intake and keeping a schedule of what you should eat and when to exercise. Maybe you can try going to a nutritionist for help. |

Jogging would be an ideal exercise. You need to run a distance of 5 miles at least three times a week. You need to keep on this regimen for 6 months or so and then you will start seeing the results. Try to eat small portions of food at frequent intervals than sticking to the common practice of having 3 big meals.

I'm actually not trying to lose weight but I wanted to gain one.
Though, I have a lot of friends who are trying to tone down their weight, and they do it by going to the gym regularly. If they don't go to gyms, they engaged in sports activities also. They eat the right amount and kind of food such as veggies and fruits. They also drinks lots of water, instead of flavored drinks such as soda and cola. And the most important factor is determination. Most of them succeeded losing weight because they are determined to lose that extra flab. Some of them just try and stop after a week or two, so nothing happens to them.

The best technique I could tell you is to ignore pills at all. Eat many vegetables and chicken meat (boiled, not fried !!) and drink water. Do some physical exercise and you'll see how gradually things will be happening. Good luck! |

I am a proponent of the HAES movement. HAES means Health At Every Size. The basic idea is to stop focusing so much on weight loss and begin focus on good health. The reason it is a good idea to focus on your health rather than your weight is because you have more direct control over your focus on your health rather than on the scale. You can resolve to eat six servings a day of fresh vegetables and feel success from doing it.. but if you resolve to lose six pounds and no matter what you do, it does not happen, then you will feel a sense of failure which may lead to resuming destructive habits.
Since adopting the HAES lifestyle I HAVE lost weight. It's a nice bonus.. but more importantly, my blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar numbers are all perfect. I can walk further without getting winded, and play longer without taking a rest. |

Once over weight I lost over thirty pounds by following a strict diet and going to the gym everyday. I recommend cutting all snacks and fatty foods completely out of your diet and increasing your cardio, with these two changes alone you should see drastic changes in your weight and appearance.

Loosing weight must be about living a healthy lifestyle in my opinion not some 4 week crash diet that you just put it all back on.
A combination of a healthy diet with proper exercise will have you reaching your goals. Its amazing how many don't know what proper healthy food is like. If you still cant lose weight you may have liver, adrenal or thyroid problems. |

First it is necessary that you put a stop to your increasing weight if it is indeed increasing by controlling your diet and stop eating fatty and junk foodstuffs. Have a balanced diet for at least 2-3 months. A recent study has also revealed that green tea helps in reducing weight. It says that we should drink green tea and then go for a workout. Thus green tea helps in burning 25% more fat than normal.I have tried it and it has worked out for me.

Running for two kilometres a day and then doing some stretching exercise 40 minutes/day.
Doing an abdominal workout in the evening - 6 minutes/day. eat healthy but not less - 0 minutes/day. This is my way of loosing weight and stay healthy. It's working
