Protect your eyes from PC radiation !!!

People sitting in front of computer monitors need to maintain certain habits to reduce excessive wearing of the eyes....

It is best to take a stroll for 1-2 minutes after every hour or so. Also try to see distant objects every once a while to relax the eye muscles.

It is also advisable to use LCD monitors since they are known to emit lesser radiation...Hence little better on the eyes...

Yes, that's the advisable thing to do, but I think its quite troublesome to actually get to doing it. I'm wearing spectacles now, and that's the result of spending too much time in front of the PC. I'm hoping my eyesight won't get worse in time.

Other ways to relax the eyes include doing some simple eyes exercise. I think there are also some food which are said to be good for the eyes.

lately, i think my eyes are already wearing out. they're just become painful as if its burning and felt dry if i stay in front of the computer for long periods. it might be strained from too much radiation and too much use. i try to close them every now and then to relax the eyes. i'm still not wearing glasses but if these continues i might just get one to protect my eyes.

as you mentioned about computer,definitely sitting or working on computer for long will weaken your eyesight
to protect your eyes or even just for precautionary measures, take some rest after every 15-20 minutes. this will help your eyes relax for some time
also for better eyesight, drink lots of "palak" soup

Lcd screens do help the cause but still constant exposure to radiation is harmful. Also the viewing angle should also be correct for both LCd's and the crt monitors. An incorrect eye height as compared to the height at which the monitor is placed may be harmful

you guys are making a point. Consistent using of pc's makes u shed tears when no one has beaten you. Great caution must be taken; may be cover your screen with some coloured transparent tapolene or use lcd's as some mentioned or even wear some glasses to reduce the intensity of the radiation. I think we need to put protectors on our monitors if we are using desk top
to lessen the radiation. we also need to use LCD monitors to prevent our eyes from radiation. We may also use eye glasses everytime we use the computer.

I have suggested some tips which will help to protect your eyes from PC radiation :
1. Use of computer screen protector or filter to lessen radiation generated by computer.
2. Choose that type of computer screen which will low radiation like LCD screen.
3. Keep distance between computer and your eyes at least 45 cm.
4. Take some rest in between while you are working on the computer.
5. Often blink your eyes while working on the computer.
6. Use glasses with special lens for computer.
7. In take of vitamin A is beneficial for eyes.
8. Regular checkup of eyes is also essential.
