Why is there alot of sex in tv and movies nowadays. it gets annoying when i watch a movie then a sex scenes comes up why do they have to have sex and nudity in movies.

I don't wanna see sex in movies i want to watch a movie not sex scenes.

Does this annoy anyone else aswell?

I fully agree with you. Nudity and sex scenes can be found in abundance in every 2nd movie. I think its the public demand so film makers have to go for it. There is no other choice. Every body do not think like you. People like nudity.

Yes, I agree this can be annoying, but as Shymaaz said, the movie producers do it to boost their ratings.

I believe it to be a sad reflection of the fact that modern society views sex as a bodily function, rather than an expression of love. That also explains the existence of pornography, most of which is insulting because it portrays women as sex objects rather than as people.

There is a lot of sex on TV and in movies nowadays because the world today is all about sex. It will be very hard for any movie without sex scenes to win awards in today's world. All that we are concern about in today's world is sex. We work and we sweat just for sex. We struggle and we die just for sex. Sex seems like the most normal thing in today's world.

The opposite of God is the devil. God is wisdom but don't you ever think that t he devil is a fool. Fornication used to be a great sin in the olden days but fornication seems normal and even fun today. The devil is so smart that he tries to make such bad things look normal. Sex is good and sex is sacred but that does not make sex on TV normal.

The reason that sex is on television so much these days is simply a result of better ratings. Which simply means more people will watch a movie with sex in it than one without. Are all these people bad and sinful people?

Well if have those all too rigid and absolute religious views, then you'd say yes.

For those not of the religious persuasion, we believe sex is just a natural part of human life. Without the fascination with sex built into our physc as a means to reprocreate we would have died out long ago. It's built in to all animals which include ourselves.

Think about it. If there was no fascination and emotional attachment to sex why would any of us bother to have it? It's instinctual. Build in.

And because of that, when i see a good looking lass, all those emotions and desires build up, regardless whether i want them to or not.

Anyway back to the question.

Because Tv Networks get better ratings. Which means more people will watch these programs or movies if there is sex in them.

Now a days the story and the acting is getting poor,that's why they using these kinda things for getting people to watch their films,and see what people watching them,if we need to stop them we have to leave these kinda films too,then they will understand and will not that kinda film
and same in the TV,they want high TRP for their channel, that is really sad,make good program and get TRP, that's should be their target.

It's all because of the increase in Media talk about pornography.
This is linked with many other causes.
Examples: Teen pregnancy, child pornography, underage sex, molestation, etc.
And as surprising as it may sound, it's the Media's fault that they are bringing this all up, as younger audiences do watch the news, and when they hear about it, they become interested to know what it is. They ask themselves why everyone is doing it. So they try it. So they put it in movies. So they get more money because more people watch the movies.
It's all a chain reaction because of whats going on in the world today, and the media.

I think thats a good point you make there..the commercial angle has become hard to ignore...sex sells !

But since everyone is posting about how wrong it is, I'd like to offer a different view...maybe it isn't all that bad. From and entertainment perspective, it appeals to a larger and older audience..but secondly, I think it offers a chance to educate about issues such as STD's and safe sex..Especially in countries like India where sex is looked down upon and sex education is next to nil..

Of all the comments, why why why did no one mention why are all of the sex scenes of women and there breasts and asses and crotches??? Fine to all of you that you think sex spikes ratings and adults want the action. Well I am a female adult, and I am not interested in tits and crotches and asses. WHEN will we women get to see some action eye candy? Really, I am sick and tired of looking at nude women or half naked women on every commercial, magazine, television program and film. I cant even buy a Cosmopolitan magazine without a sexy woman clad cover. Over it! Its pretty pathetic that the teenage Twilight movie is the only film I have ever saw that has shirtless attractive boys/men in it. Geez, isnt it obvious by the huge ratings and success of this film that we girls/women LIKE LOOKING AT MEN!!!!!!!!!! Get a clue Hollywood, the world does not revolve around a PENIS! Use your penis for ratings, not for hard ons watching your films! Make both sexes happy and add EQUAL amount of sext up men as women in every film!
