What you do to cheer up when you are bored or upset?

I got a few things!

a) Best is, play with the 2 year old kid of my neighbors or play a game of AOE (Age of Empires).

b) I like programming random things in my spare time, currently I prefer working on my blog.

c) Come to here to cheer up!

What are your suggestions?

I agree, it's sometime fun to write about topics you're interested in, so I second the forum posting -- other than that I like to buy myself something small to cheer up, like a cup of coffee(i.e. Starbucks) that I think is too expensive to splurge on everyday, or a comb, or a new toothbrush... I know it sounds stupid, but it works. My niece and nephew can always cheer me up too... how can you be sad around a 4 and 5 year old?

you're right, cermet! nobody gets bored with a kid 1yr to 5 yrs old. I have two kids who never gets me bored, probably only when they are with their grandparents who also loves to have them around. kids can really cheer you up with them meaning to. my kids are both boys and they do love attention from their mother since i'm not always home, they'd herald me with stories of their pursuit and bombards me with a lot of question from God knows where. they always have questions that even you yourself wonder why that is so.

I listen to music and take a bath. Those are the best for relaxing, and there is nothing better then a few candles, a glass of wine, and my MP3 player while I soak in some nice hot water. It's my main way that I get away from everything, especially with kids. It's so noisy all the time, and I am so busy. I am either working, or taking care of my children.

It's nice to get a little time to myself at night.

When I get bored, my mind go crazy. I am not even kidding guys, when I am just sitting down somewhere I feel like my head is going to explode. However when I want to entertain myself I freestyle in my head, make a beat with pencils, or fidget with my fingers. Either way these keep my head in place. When I'm upset though, I just like to sit by myself and not worry about the outside surroundings. Well that's is what I do, now lets hear your guys stories!

i usually prefer to talk with one of my friends when i get bored or switch on the computer to play some game or surf various sites or sometime switch on the television and see if something interesting is coming
all this help me to pass time when i get bored

I do the following:
1. Listen to some rock music at loud volumes :P
2. Go out and ride my bike for a long drive and eat something which i like eating(brunching on). This works for me as I am a foodie!!
3. A short nap or sleep if time permits rejuvenates me

What I do to cheer up when bored, I go outside the house and get some fresh air, stretch a little bit, listen to the radio for beautiful music, or watch my favorite television shows on the television or surf the net.

I like to call my exboyfriend and cry or talk to him for a few hours, and I feel better afterwards. He is a great listener and he always gives me good advice. He is wonderful to talk to, and I love to talk. He get's to hear all my problems before anyone else. I also like to work out or go out and have a good time to unwind or forget about my problems. I love to drink, so it is always a booster for me.

I usually do:

1.eating

If i get bored i just pick up my car keys and go for a long drive.
I also sometimes start trying some good recipe in the kitchen. The other thing i do is tune in the tv and start surfing the channels.

Most of the time I read some story books,it is like one kind of hobby,also play PC games with my little bro,go out with my friends,or sometime with my family
ooh yea, most of the time when I get bored I call someone,and he makes me smile, that's the main thing I do when I am bored, haha

I hardly gets bored, But if i get bored, i will listen to my favorite music, It will take me back to my work then.

If I am get bored, I will try to make someone else bored. LOL. Usually I will do :
1. Go to do some exercises, like swimming or badminton
2. Play the video game on pc, like the CS or WOC
3. Go to talk with some nice hot girls
