Question What is the name of your Favorite Book?

I like books based on mystery, detective and horror. Some of my favorites include P.D. James 'A Taste For Death' and 'Night Chills'-a treasury of horror masterworks. Also, Ngaio Marsh's five complete novels-mystery thriller stories.

Right now I'm reading Killer Dolphin: An Inspector Roderick mystery.

What is your favorite book?

"I Claudius" and "Claudius the God" by Robert Graves rate right up at the top for me. I go a bit eclectic with books and will read nearly anything that doesn't have anything to do with money and economics, fundie and fascist hate religion, really gory crime stuff, and romance novels. Others among my fave books would be "The Naked Civil Servant" and anything else written by Quentin Crisp (if you want to read about bravery, this is it), "In this House of Brede" and just about anything by Rumer Godden, "Shibumi" by Trevanian, The "Dune" series (although I admit my eyes were pretty crossed after the second book), "Waterloo Sunset" by Ray Davies, "Hannah Fowler" and "The Believers" by Janice Holt Giles; that's about all that come to mind...

Great jaye! I love books! .. Not too many things can be compared to a good story book on the subway!.. I use the subway alot and I make sure I have a new story with me anytime I buy my metrocard! .. anyone of you heared of a Nigerian writer called Chinua Achebe ?.. wow! If you want to learn more about Africa - the African culture and traditions then go grab this book from your local library! "THINGS FALL APART" it is just great! .. Are you sad?.. bored?.. don't worry.. go grab "Don Quixote" the great knight or maybe "Tartuffe" the false Prophet! .. "ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL BUT SOME ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS" .. do you agree to this statement?.. well, go get a copy.. "THE ANIMAL FARM" .. my great grandfather used to say that "THE DEVIL YOU KNOW IS BETTER THAN THE ANGEL YOU DO NOT KNOW" maybe this might sound a little bit confussing but that is life.. Life is full of stages and every stage is accompanied by changes. Your best friends can become your worst enemies and your worst enemies can also become your best friends. some changes are obvious while others very difficult to see. go get "METAMORPHOSIS".. well, as the sun goes down, It washes away some of the tears like the rain drops upon the nursery beds.

My favorite book of all time has to be Stephen King's Cell. It is awsome! Not that I think something like that could happen but with so many people relying on cell phones so much, it would be scary if true!

I like Science Fiction. Wait, not like, LOVE! I will read other genres but I much prefer science fiction. One of my favorite books which is not really science fiction but still good is "Touching Spirit Bear" it is a young Adult book but I could easily relate to it and so I enjoyed it very much.

Sincerely,
-Marcus

Gloria is right. the "things fall apart" by Chinua Achebe is really nice. it displays the beauty of the African culture and traditions. it is difficult though to understand in the beginning especially if you have never been to Africa or know nothing about Africa.

Lately the only books I've been reading are financial education and business books. I have all of the books that I want to read stacked on my dresser in my room lol. So far I've read, "Who Moved My Cheese? by Spencer Johnson, "The Richest Man in Babylon" by George S. Clason, "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki and I'm currently reading "Why We Want You to be Rich" by Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki. One day I'll stop reading books on how to get rich and just read a good romance novel LOL.

If your into kiddie reading you should read the harry potter series. Lol. I liked reading Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beacher Stowe. OR if you into sci fi stuff read "The Giver", "1984", and "Brave New World". Just the whole possible future thing is cool to me. These books they talk about totalitarianism and like controlling you at birth so you are born into this "caste system" society.

I'm personally in love with the Twilight series.
I thought that, according to other guys' opinions about it, it was terrible.
I went to the mall once, walked in chapters while my mom was getting coffee, and picked up the closest book to me. it happened to be Twilight. i started reading it, and after the first chapter, I told my mom I want it. I finished it in the first 3 days. I went back to Chapters, and bought the whole series. Love them.

My favorite book is The Alchemist which is an allegorical novel by Paulo Coelho.
I love this line from it(translated my self, because i have book in lithuanian words) :
"Earth, we are living in, will be better or worse subject to better or worse WE will be. Here comes the power of love, because when we loving we always try to be better than we are."
