Re: what Does It really mean to be SMART
"take the right decision at the right time" That is the true definition of being smart. Socrates the father of philosophy was the smartest man alive during his time yet Socrates had no formal education. Socrates could not read nor write. Between Albert Einstein and Michael Angelo: who was the smarter man? Michael Angelo did not develop any scientific theory whereas Albert Einstein was the smartest physicist alive. On the other hand, Albert Einstein sucked at painting whereas Michael Angelo was the smartest when it came to missing colors and making portraits. The fact is that, both men were very smart in their fields but sucked in other fields. So focusing the definition of "smart" on just some fields while ignoring other fields just glorifies "ignorance". Being smart is being able to "make the right decision at the right time" as you said. This includes all other fields. Being smart does not mean oppress or outwit others to your own advantage. Being smart means working very hard as a man both physically and mentally and depending on yourself more than depending on others.
