The biggest advantage of working at home, for me, is that I don't have the commute. We don't have a public transportation system where I live, so my working from home saves time and gasoline, as well as wear and tear on my vehicle.
Another advantage is that I can throw a load of laundry in the washer and be there to get it into the dryer right away. Also, I can work on preparing meals for my family throughout the day instead of rushing home right after work to throw something "quick and easy" (and maybe not as healthy) together. I also like being at home to recieve deliveries, or let a maintainance person, cable repair person, etc. into our apartment, if needed. It just works out well all the way around! |

I don't want to work under anyone so the biggest advantage to working from home is that you can be your own boss and this is also good for those who take some time in adjusting themselves in nasty environment like(with managers, clerks etc. etc.)

People who want to work from home must think thoroughly. They might get scammed. There are a lot of scammers out there. They may get cheap pay. Anyway pay level are rewarded according to skill level. Work from home can be done part-time and full time. Only skilled worker can do it full time.

It would be nice to do that, but unfortunately I'm an engineer, and that's not too conducive to working at home. Maybe someday I'll open my own LLC and be able to use my home as an office, but ultimately I don't think I would be able to do it.

I am disabled and would love to work at home. Physically I can no longer go out and jump the hurdles that are required to run a successful business. The problem I am seeing after months and months of research; is that everything I find is a scam. It makes someone a lot of money, just not you.

I would like to raise a point that you have to make yourself a time table/work schedule and follow it strictly. No excuse. I once worked for a overseas company without an office in my country so I worked at home 70% of the time and one day I found myself became lazy, slept till 10 or 11 sometimes and just kick around when there was works to do. I then made a time table for myself and have it corrected.

There are indeed a number of advantages of working from home. One gets to be one's own boss, deciding one's work hours and he could inject a lot of creativity and lend his personal touch to whatever he is venturing into. There is a lot of scope for improvisation and diversification if one chooses to operate from home. One could then integrate his work with his domestic life, thus enjoying the best of family life.

Working form has many advantages...
One does not have to spend on travel and hence no column for fuel expense in the balance sheet !!! Further, the working hours are flexible and one can work at his own will and time. There is no peer pressure and no anxiety from an angry boss!!! ![]() Though...there is also one bigger disadvantage if one is married.... There will be constant pestering and nagging from the big House Boss....Your Own Wife !!!!:p Regards, Walker |

Working home-based is now an accepted way of making money. There are now a lot of companies who are outsourcing some of their needs to contractors based at home. For these companies, it could mean a great savings plus they are tapping some great talents as well. For home-based workers, there area lot of advantages. First, of course is the fact that there is no need to commute to work -- it is now called telecommuting. Surely, you can save a lot of time, money and pressure while working at home. For working mothers, this could be a great blessing. Working at home can then be great for families.
Next, you can be your own boss actually. As an independent contractor, you have the choice of the jobs you can accept and the amount of time you could focus into it. At last, you are spared of the office politics and there is no more need to maintain a good co-workers' relationship since you are on your own. In other words, you got flexibility of your own and there is no need to fit in into the organization. Satisfaction. A lot of successful home-based workers won't ever trade their newly found career path because of the great satisfaction doing it. Imagine, you are just on the living room and you are just wearing pajamas but still earning good money. Who will never be satisfied with that? Great potential. Right now, home-based business is the way to the future. You can then expand your world from a mere worker to having a business of your own with global potential. From your home to the whole globe. |

No doubt, there are lots of advantages working from home.
Firstly and most importantly, its being able to have the comfort of being at home and you don't have to worry about your attire, how you dress etc. Besides that there's a flexible working hour and you can just decide on when and where you want to work. Not having to see the angry face of your boss is a good thing too. No more worries about being late at work, no morning rush and you can have control of your time. |

I'm still working in a regular work environment right now, but I plan to start working from home in the near future. I want to be able to manage my time between my kids and my work. Currently, I'm away from home so much because of work, I get to see my kids sometimes once or twice a month. The separation really breaks my heart, seeing them cry when I go. I don't want my kids to think that I don't love them. I want to be near them and see them grow.

Good ... this has two sides . not this particular topic. every topic has two things one is the positive & the other will be the negative.
The advantage of working from home : # We can relax more, # We can work for more time, # Not much commitment , Disadvantages # we become lazy being at home, # we strain our self being more with the computer, # postponing the work given or taken |

From my experience:
Pros 1. Less petrol spend : Apart from going out occasionally for shopping and get some errand done, I spend time indoors. 2. Working with comfort and freedom : No dress attire, no annoying boss and we can complete our job on a sofa or just anywhere we want.Cons 1. Scammer alert : Be careful with every contract. 2. Discipline:p : Trust me, you’ll need lots and lots of it. Working on your own means no one to order you around. If you lack of this, you’ll meet your end fast enough. |

If you can find something legitimate, or run your own business, the joys of working from home are many. From spending time with your family, to cutting out traffic, to working for yourself. I know I have enjoyed being able to do what I like in terms of hours, and to set my own pay.
Besides, you can get away from office politics. lol |

There are many advantages to working at home, even though I probably would never do it. First of all it saves gas. You can also be more involved with your family and spend more time with your kids. Not only that but it would be more comfortable working at home. You can dress however you like.

Ive worked from home for many years now and it has great advantages.
One being i can wake up that bit later and just not have to rush getting in the shower and doing my hair etc. The second being that i don't have to eat the horrible bad pre-packed food that is sold everywhere i can make my own healthy lunch. The third is i can fit in exercise easily which i wouldn't able to do working in the office. The two main disadvantages is that its easy to get distracted, end up on your ps3 or listening to music, browsing online. And the lack of social interaction is a huge worry now i have social anxiety .

If we are having a steady income, or if our work from home has a good income then it would be better that we stay at home and work , the only disadvantage i see that is the lack of public relations in our daily life. but we can have more time in our day to day life , it will be a great to be a family man within the family always !! caring our children and loved ones the way they want .
No fear for anyone , feel free to have a holiday, chit chat as much as you want no restrictions on anything FREE life in all |
