A good question to discuss on ..really a million dollar question.
I think the Olympics official should think over this issue very seriously and should include T20 cricket as a part of Olympics. Think guys ..T20 games finishes in at most 2 and half hours and so as much times takes football and hockey game ? And i feel there are many nations who playing this sport from many years and it has attracted many people towards it. I think it would be taking another 20 years to include T20 cricket in Olympics unless and until something is done fast to do it. |

Cricket as a 50-over innings game was a big one and used to take at least 7 hours to complete, so Olympics was not suited that time.
But with the introduction of 20-20 into the game, it takes around 3-4 hours for total game to complete. And this can be a great addition to the list of sports in Olympics. Tennis also consumes same time in long games, and this 20-20 cricket can end in lesser time sometimes when the wickets fall faster and innings go speeder. |

I would wholeheartedly support for T20 to be included in the Olympics....
After all....its fast paced and very entertaining apart from testing the physical fitness of the players involved. Unlike other forms of cricket, this version requires every players to remain on their toes...all the time. There is also a need for popularizing cricket among several other nations and what better platform than the Olympics and this terrific version joining hands to achieve the same!!! Regards, Walker |

Now I do have to admit, it does look a lot more refined and classier than baseball, but if we're talking about 3 day long test series, the Olympics will be over by the time they get to the quarter finals. |

Let them start a 10-10 and include it in the Olympics. Cricket even in 20-20 format is too long for any one's liking. A 20 over game can be finished in 2 hours. And it would be much better for the spectators as there would be more fun with every one trying to hit every ball out of the fence.

cricket may be a popular game in some countries but i think people all over the world keep the track with the cricket matches. many countries don't have their registered teams also. so i think it will be to early to include the game of cricket in Olympics.

Definitely, despite being a huge revenue earner, cricket is not popular world over and T-20 would be a perfect platform. Cricket is predominantly played in over 12 countries. T-20 is the shortest version of the game. it is very exciting and above all a result is always on the cards. So I don't see any reason why cricket shouldn't be included in the olympics. Above all, considering that India is the T-20 World Champion, we have a clear shot at the gold medal.

Definitely T20 format should be included in Olympics, and i would like them to be included well before 2020, because I can't wait to get excited and all pumped up
. Cricket should also get a equal chance as other sports in olympics. Also T20 is much quicker than the usual ODI format, so it's always 2-3 hours of entertainment.

Cricket should definitely be included in olympics in 20-20 format as now it is a recognized, loved and hugely viewed sport around the whole world. The newly born 20-20 format is a great prospect and can be staged at the Olympics London 2012
