Default My first ever job was working for Parks and Recreation

What was the first job you had and what was the most memorable aspect of it?

My first job was working for Parks & Recreation (which was the government's recreation program in my city) as a kid's summer camp counselor. Boy, was it tiring! Only about 5 hours a day but when I was done, I was done. Their ages ranged from 5 to 12. Taking care of 240 crazy, yelling, and running kids was fun but very maddening sometimes. I want to work there again next year but I'm not sure if I can

So what about you guys?

My first ever job was whilst i was still at college doing web design.

I was contacted by a local nightclub to do a website for them, it was amazing really a fairly big job for someone still learning but i handled it well.

The pay was great also and be involved in the fast paced nightclub industry behind the scenes has set me up for wanting to run my own now.

My first ever job was at school when I had to teach a bunch of unforgiving, nuisance creating kids for a day. That was something to do. Keeping them to maintain discipline throughout the day was a tough job in itself. I succeeded in teaching them addition though:P

Well, I grew up with my grandparents in Africa and my grandparents were farmers so I started working at a very young age even though I wasn't forced to do anything I couldn't do. It was just fan working with grandma and grandpa in the farm. We had great number of cows, goats and sheep and I used to cut grasses for the guinea pigs and also feed the sheep and goats in the evenings and milk the cows in the morning. Well, my grandparents are gone and everything is just like a dream and it is irreversible.

My first job was at a local McDonald's. I was approved for an interview, and then was immediately hired the day following my interview. Although this particular job gets put down a lot, it is actually a great place to work! I enjoyed being respected by the managers and crew, and the restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere! As for my most memorable moment, I would have to say when I first attempted to make a McFlurry! It is harder than it seems, and both times ice cream ended up all over the floor, on me, and on my manager! I was terribly embarrassed, but we laughed about it and had a good time!

My first job was in a warehouse of Harvey Norman( you Australians will know what I'm talking about). I think the job itself was pretty easy. I didn't have to lift really heavy thing or anything like that. I would just clean some stuff occasionally and throw out some cardboard. That was pretty much it. The pay was pretty good though.

My first job was at Mcdonalds. Man I hated that job. The pay itself was pretty decent and the job wasn't very hard, but the thing that I hate it for was my boss. I could not have a more annying bos if I searched the whole world. No matter what I did he could not be pleased. Everyone hated his guts. I only worked there for two months and I couldn't take it anymore. I remember I was so happy when I finally made enough money and I could quit. Good times.

I worked at Mcdonalds with a good friend, and always had a good time. We only worked there for 6 months, and it didn't pay well, but we had the best time, and we always got free food. It was more like a hang out, so it did not feel like work at all. It is a fond memory of mine, and I will never forget it. It was a good experience.
