Today I have checked my emails almost 30 times - or maybe more - but usually don't check them that often , there have been days when I haven't check at all . It always depends on what I expect to receive and from whom .
I am not eager to check emails related to work .I try as much as possible to have different email addresses for different types of relations . |

Twinkle, I'm in the same boat as you. I probably check my email way too often, a lot of times I will leave it open in its own tab just in case someone emails me. Then there's times where I haven't checked an email account for weeks. Then I'll start back checking it and the cycle starts all over again
lol

I always check my email accounts. Actually, I got four accounts for different purposes. I check them eight to twelve each day. Especially if I'm expecting an important mails or payments. Emails are very significant since they allow me to communicate and get quick responses.

let's say 5 to 10 times a day. I check my emails almost every time i go online. It is the first thing i do once i go online. PDA and co are making it rather addictive but anyway i am used to it. after all checking your emails doesn't suck much of your time. just 1 to 2 minutes, you are done.

i am regular user of internet as everybody knows today everything is connected with each other means i will illustrate this with an example, suppose any user(abcd) wants to create an account on orkut, that user registered him/herself on orkut, in return the orkut's server sends an e-mail for verification, so when we register ourself for any thing they send something for confirmation.
So as far as I am concerned i open my e-mail 20 -25 times a day.. |

At home: I check it probably 4 or 5 times a day. Work, I'm really bad. I always have Outlook open, and I'm not used to being away from my computer for more than 2 hours. 90% of the emails don't even regard me, or are just bulk emails to everybody at work, but I still get excited when I see them.

I never close my outlook express. At work or home, I always have outlook express running and check email automatically every 30 minutes and I check manually every now and then too. email is the way I use the most to communicate with friends and colleagues. Even more than phone sometimes. The best thing about using email is that you can send an attachment. I can just send a pictures of the location or the thing I talk about, picture is worth a thousand words, right?

Oh man... I never really thought about this. I used to only check my inbox like twice a day... that was around, what, 3-4 years ago? I pretty much check my e-mail every half hour or so if I'm at home with nothing to do. On average, I'd say about... at least 15 times a day or so.

The question should be "How many times do you check your email a week". I rarely check my emails and even if I do so it would be through the messengers. People usually use messengers now but emails have its own benefits I understand.

I have my email open all day.
The only time I close it is when I am working on something that needs my full attention so that I do not get distracted. Other than that I just open it when I log on first thing in the morning and then I can see email as and when it arrives. |

I have many accounts in gmail and yahoo. Those are the two mailing services that I use. Check up your mails is rare side of mine. Usually I check up my account atleast twice a day i.e., in the morning and in the evening. Sometimes if urgent like I complete registration in and need to active my account then I check up my mail account.
