Have you ever lose money online?

Well for my experience on the internet, I've never lose money online because I really chose on sites to be joining with and requires investment. There are many sites offering some nice good stuff but in reality it is a SCAM!

Never...I do not rely on sites who asks money to give work rather I believe on them who gives money to do jobs.Actually many sites are fraud sites who asks for a membership fee to give you works.So if anybody don't have good knowledge about a site,it's safe to not invest any money there.

There are sites which are absolutely free to register. As Suvan said there are 1000's of non fraud sites that does not require any $$ for joining. Anyway, Please take care to use different password with your mail,paypal etc and other sites.

I lost my money many times. I guess, it may be more than $1000

The worst scammer ever was AWSurveys.Com, who scammed
$250. huh!!! However, I have learnt lot of things from these kind of
experiences!

as you said, there are about %90 sites out there you cannot trust but that doesn't mean you cannot make it online. Just be careful and continue searching for the few %10 genuine sites left and you can make it online.

well, for me i have lost a few dollars on-line thats about it! it was less than a hundred dollars. I lost some money during a Paypal money transfer! but i have learned my lesson. It was my first time doing such transfer i screw up.

Well.. when it comes to PayPal, I have lost $65 when my PayPal was limited.
They are asking for Invoice, Business Registration and Proof of Business.
Where should I get these from? huh! I forgot PayPal since then!

I dint loose any money online because i dont invest my money in risky areas especially where there is huge competition between people. Even I maintain a free blog at blogger.com than having a custom domain.

I did lose some money on eBay, both when I bought and sold stuff. The buyer filed a dispute after I sent out the package he bought and got his money back and the other time I never received the item I bought. However, most of the deals are good and pleasant. Exception makes the rules, if you buy and sell a lot in the internet you will meet bad guys one day.

I have lost some money online... if I add it all up it'd probably be around ~$100 or so. I've learned my lesson though... there's so many people out there who get up in the morning and prepare to scam others, it's ridiculous. There are a lot of people who are trustworthy though... you just have to be careful and think.

I have read about many scam cases and know some scamming techniques. The key to not be scammed is to not trust your trade partner too much. Be as careful as you can.

Yes, I too lost some money online but not big one. As the famous quotation goes.
"To win you have to lose".
I invested in some PTC sites and some earning sites for upgrade but eventually then turned up scam or they disappeared, from I have learned something or the other and taken this lose in a positive way and I am carrying it up.

The above quotation doesn't mean that you keep on losing money.

Same here.. I lost about $50 online but yes as learn2ear said, To win, one must lose. I was renting a service on a people on a forum that is well known by webmasters. I want that guy to send me articles but sad to say, he got banned and even worse, his account got deleted.. And i already sent him the money.. I contacted him via email but no response at all... So very disappointing.. But i already learned my lesson.. Right now, im starting to earn back that money that my pocket lose..

well i had quite a bad experience on the internet. Recently I have invested a lot of money in PTC sites thinking that i will make profit but I was totally wrong. The PTC sites, I invested in, disappeared and became scams. Eventually I lost all my money. I decided that I will not invest in PTC sites again but some day or the other I am sure that I will be tempted to invest again seeing other people making profit from a particular site.

Be very careful with scammers. The internet is a good medium to scam people because of the anonymity. Do not do business with sites or individuals that you are not sure you can trust. Check what other people are saying about the site or person before you send your payment. I myself have never lost my money on the internet as I'm particular when it comes to paying some stranger.

I play poker online so I have both won and lost of my share of money online. But as far as scams and all that they are usually worded too improperly or come from a obviously unofficial email address for me to believe and sign up.

I have lost a bit of money online from buying things that did not come as they said they would or when I have bought something and I did not notice in the fine print that I would get charged monthly and then they have just kept charging me. I would have to say that over time I have probably lost around $500 or $600 online.

Just the thought of it creates panic. Nobody wants to loose the hard earned money, Unfortunately there are many number of scams. and all play on the greed of the visitor. A human is bond to perish under well written and organized claims and with his own needs they look for easier ways to earn money and fall for such scams.

I believe - Nothing is free, work hard and earn money, there are no short cuts to success.

The answer to this would be...YES and A NO !!!

Yes...because I do a lot of stocks trading through net and I have lost quite a lot of money in it and hence it can be termed as losing money..online !!!

As far as other online activity like building websites and marketing the same are concerned...thankfully, I have not yet lost anything on it.

I never buy things online for personal use and hence there is little chance of getting robbed there....

No, I have never lost any money online. I generally don't trust those websites that requires people to pay up for a certain thing in order to receive some benefits, so I usually don't pay for stuffs I do online.

I've buy things online before, but all those transactions were good and so far I've not met any problems or lose any money from it.

Yes. I am actually collecting money now for investments because all my money gone on all these kind of fishy investments programs that promised good profit for short term \:

All transactions I always conducted was with only reliable websites and as a result, i never experienced any trouble. I always check for the site to see if they have an "https" address before I do any transaction. If I get any offer which is too good to be true, I always mark them as spam and let them go to where they deserve to be.

Yes , In a forum posting job i have not received my well deserved payments even after repetitive reminders sent to the administrator of the website. I would not like to name it as i guess he might do it after reading this. People please pay me for what i have done.

I don't do too much online transaction. Actually I have started to transact online lately. the Main reason is that, in my region there are not too many online shops. Credit cards are hard to get and we don't have Paypal in my country. So the chance of doing online transaction is limited for me. As a result i haven't lost any money yet. I guess there is good side of everything, limited chance of online transaction = limited chance of loosing money!

I have lost about 20$ online because of some bad investments. Once I bought a premium account of a website and I found NOTHING useful in the site. They told they will give direct links of different games, and I found that they were torrents which merely gave me 10 KBps speed of downloading and took about 20$.

I tried to resell it, but I found that no one is going to buy it. It was pure waste of my money. Maybe I did do many bad investments, but I have learned a lot from them too.

I have consistently made more than I've lost but one time that sticks out in my mind was when i just got into business a fair while back.

I was scammed of around a couple of grand and it was down to my naivety when getting into business.

I went the usual route on to Ali baba looking for cheap prices that would never be possible for phones, laptops etc. So started getting talking to a guy over in Canada and before i know it I"m paying for a set of phones via western union(scammers paradise) anyway before i knew it i was scammed and it was a horrible starting experience that nearly put me off.
