Re: Education Vs Sport or Should be Education and Sport
Mr. kofi I want to thank you for your response. I agreed with you as far as yes in the world of business value the experience more than the diploma becaus it is easy to find someone with a diploma and hard to find one with experience. they dont have the time and the patience to train because they still have to compete with other business. In the 80 and 90 high school diploma was acceptable but now even a bachelor degree people have a hard time finding job. You will notice that there are more people are going to graduate school now than befor and it is becoming a normal route in society. High school Diploma is meanless now. You see sport is great but we need to understand that soon or later we have to stop to play sport in that case we ll need something to fall back on. Some athlete are being a victim of scam by their own entourage (lawyer, agent, manager) because they can't even read or understand the close in their own contrat.
On the continent of Africa for example, the number of school drop out remain the same and in some countries it is increasing, the number of kids out of school remain very high i guess what i am trying to say is that i see the point you are trying to make. The few people that did get the college degree are home without work may be because they dont have the experience or because there is no work. With all that i still believe that Africa has a lot of room for development and we need to send a simple and clear message to the young generation, Education is the key to success just like you said but there is no if or but. Africa has 63% of literacy rate.
