I tried to sell some items on ebay once. I made a few bucks nothing much. It wasn't worth my time to pay ebay to put up my ad and sometimes getting no buyers to respond. So I don't invest my time or energy in that anymore. I heard some people make money online with their blogs and adsense though I don't think it's profitable.

A couple of years ago, I did some decent business online selling on ebay. but I think that unless you can invest huge amounts of time, ebay can be limiting financially. I've just started using adsense and have been submitting my articles, writings to ad revenue sharing sites.

I have heard about blog writing, but I have not tried it myself. Any tips here on good companies or how to get started?

I also have a blog but I earn mostly on an MLM company. They are allowing their member to earn even if they aren’t doing anything. Have you heard of EyeEarn before?

This is just branch of SFI where I am a member of.

I have been earning online since March. I get paid to write articles and reviews and while it's not as much as a public job-which I can't take at the moment- it does help to pay a bill here and there.

I have tried many ways to make money online. Such as PTC sites, PTP sites, revenue sharing, surveying, blogging, and affiliate marketing but none have been even vagually successful for me. The main problem is that to be successful you need money to start off with usually and that's just something I like.

Sincerely,
-Marcus

I work from home full time using my home office pc. I have been doing this since Sept 07. I have one main job that I put about 25 hrs a week into and consider my main job. I take customer service calls to my home office for a company and make decent money from it. I also make extra on the side writing articles and reviews, doing basic data entry for a website called Key For Cash, and I also do a few paid surveys here and there. I have really been pleased with my wah experience thus far. A year ago you could never have made me believe I could make as much working from home as I did when I was a substitute teacher aide. But, it turns out that with the money I save in gas I actually make a little more. So, I may not make tons of money, but I do make enough to be able to help contribute to my household bills and to take the kids on an occasional fun day.(:

You don’t need to invest something when you are only starting. There are a lot of online job that you can get into, when you are in the internet. These kinds of jobs are just like regular jobs that you must do your best.

You may be unfortunate to earn anything online, but your conception is wrong. It's not essential to invest money to earn online. There're lots of methods where you don't have to invest anything, still then you can earn.I'm earning now & haven't invested a single cent till now.Make a blog at blogger.com freely & try to earn. You must be able to earn.

Ha, here here BBen. I like my job, because it gives me something to do between 7 and 4. But i do wish I could get an extra amount of $$ on the side, so I could stop worrying about student loans. Those things gobble up cash.

I have been earning online since June and have tried many different ways. My experience and comments are as follows:

1) Upload files/pictures to hosts that pay you from people's download/views - Relatively effective and you can earning even when you have stopped posting. It takes a lot of time to look for, register on and post on forums. I have a list of forums for each kind of contents I post. Some forums might ban you from using money hosts. If that happened, just let it be and look for another one, there are so many of them. The best record for me was making $80 a week. Be careful when you choose a host. Avoid all the scam sites. Even if it is not a scam, some might use a tricky way to lower your payout. I once joined a picture host and they have a prorated payment policy for foreign traffic(essentially Asian traffic) so I posted only in US and European forums but still I got only 50% of the balance. Some other users claimed in the forum that they got only 25%. So my suggestion would be to check on the forum if there is one before you make a move. Getting files/pictures to share is very easy. Just google Angelina Jolie picture if you want to share her photos for example.

2) Pay to click - Yes it works but you won't be making too much unless you join hundreds of them. There are around 10 Ads per site daily in average and they pay around $0.01 per click. So if you join 100 sites and click everyday you will make like $10 a day. Clicking on 1000 Ads sounds nuts but there is an easy way to do it. Just open 10 browser windows and load 10 different sites at a time. Now just watch a movie with your media player and close the Ads windows every 1 minute or so, you will have the clicking done when the movie ends. Getting referrals can let you earn much faster and there are many ways to get referrals. Just spread your referral links everywhere and join some referral exchange programs/sites.

3) Get paid to search on yahoo - Searching is one of the most popular activities in the internet and has become a daily routine for everyone. Now you can earn money from searching in yahoo. Homepages friends shares the revenue generated with users on a 50/50 basis and pay you either by transffering money into your bank account or via PayPal. The service currently works on Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 7 ( IE7) and Firefox browsers so you will need to upgrade your browser or use Firefox if you are using IE6. They did not mention the rate but it says in the FAQ that based upon their experience to date they estimate the average user regularly searching the internet could readily raise in excess of £50 per year.(I have been using it for a week and I will earn a little more than that I estimate.) Not too much but still it is good to make some profit when you search, you have to search anyway. Yahoo is my favorite search engine so this service is really good to me. I have changed my frontpage page from yahoo to my homepages friends page. You can even add some google gadgets such as clock, calendar, to do list, currency converter, dictionary, wikisearch(no profit will be made) and weather forecast etc... in the page. The registration is fast and simple too. After registration they will send you the password by email which can be changed after login. All you need to do is to register and search when you need to and you will have your balance increased.
4) Online store/auction - This one is more of a business practice and you will have to buy before you can sell, I would suggest to find someone in other countries to supply you their product of the area or someone in a country with low cost production and sell the items locally. I used to get 40+ deals everyday before on eBay(a couple of years ago). You will meet some wholeseller customers too. Different from the above three ways, you can use this way to earn for a living but there is always a risk for business. My suggestion would be to choose your product very carefully and start with small quantity first and keep your stock level low if you are tight in cashflow.

5) Be a webmaster - On the first three ways, you are only sharing a portion of the ad revenue. Make your own website you will get it all. However, making a good looking and informative website requires the expertise on design and scripting. Generating traffic is another big issue. If you can make a good website with a lot of traffic you can earn even more than selling on a online store/eBay. Still it is not easy and you will probably fail a few times before you find the right direction. I have some suggestion if you are interested in this way. pm me and I'll share my thoughts.

6) Cash link - URL redirection and top banner Ads, personally I do not recommend this way as it is annoying and some people might just give up clicking if they see that it is a cash link.

These are the ways I tried but I am sure that there are some other ways such as pay to write. Please share your experience here if you have another efficient way to make money online.

I am earning online, however, it's definitely not enough to replace a day job. I'd say it's something more like a part time job, although right now I'm making less than minimum wage. I have some ideas to earn some more but I need capital to invest, but I have started some blogs to earn money.

I try making a few dollars online from time to time, but it's definitely a challenge for me. I don't have that much skill in making web sites and things like that, so I often resort to more simple online jobs. The thing is I rarely have any real time to devote to working online. I already have a steady job, so coming home and getting myself in front of the computer can be a really hassle some time. But I guess you have to remember that for some people like me, it really isn't an option to stay in front of the computer 24/7. I just do these thing to make a few bucks.

working at a place in an office or carrying out your own business requires physical manpower and mental skills where as working online from our homes just requires mental intelligence
a person using his mental intelligence in the best possible way can earn 10 times more than an individual doing physical work everyday

One can't say earning online is the best option but one of most con viable source of earnings. Yes, even i earn online, but I'd consider it earning my pocket money. These days, with advancement in technology, there are lots and lots of opportunities for both small and big investors online. One demerit is that its quite fluctuating- today you're at the top and you're earning good but who knows tomorrow there is a downfall and everything's gone.

I am definitely trying to do it and have achieved a little success also. For starters I feel building Reputation on a blog or website is the main motive. once people start recognizing you then it's easy money. I have seen people rise from zero to a few hundred $ a week:P

I just started a new job, so I have yet to see how it will go. It is a high paying job if you do well. I have also worked online for a few years, and paid off alot of debt. I feel that I can work longer hours at home, it is easier, and I manage my money alot better. There are many good ways to make money online, and for me it has been a very positive experience.
