Default Do you cook recipes from other cultures?

I like many kinds of dishes from different cultures and quite often I love to cook international recipes. How about you?

Usually I will alternate different styles of cooking from India, Spain, Germany, Ireland, China, Mexico, Italy and many other foods from around the world.

I have to say Tandoori Chicken is one of my favorite for a hot and spicy dish.
Samosas are a very good vegetable treat. And Irish corn beef and cabbage is yummy.

What is your favorite international dish? Please share your recipe if you like.
Cheers and Thanks.

Being an Indian I am partial to Chinese and Italian food. I love to cook pizzas and momos (Chinese). Indian food is a bit high in calorie content, so I try to search out recipes from other cultures (esp. China) which have less of oil.

I haven’t tried cooking from other nation before. Maybe I should give it a try next time I cook. Can you suggest some good recipes that I could try?

I’m looking for something that is easy on the budget and does not require a lot of hard work.

I have a few Irish recipes but haven't tried them out yet. Bannocks and mash and I want to try the one you mentioned, jaye, corn beef and cabbage. I do like some Chinese recipes.

Yes Indian cuisines are high in calorie contents but i would say they are tastier than most of the other dishes and cuisines of the world.

I frequently cook Indian food and try to make my dishes taste as authentic as possible. I have a cupboard always full of Indian spices, and I enjoy experimenting and making up my own dishes. Sometimes I like to cook Italian food, my favourite being pasta dishes. I also love chicken or steak cacciatore.

Cool Re: Do you cook recipes from other cultures?

I enjoy Chinese Cookery but I can only prepare some of them which are easily prepared such as fried noodles, chopsuoys, hakien. I also like eating bryani. I can prepare it but it usually does not come out to be as delicious as the original ones, bryani being a special dish of the Muslims.

I love doing tandoori chicken outside on a propane grill. It makes the food taste so good! The other really good food that I enjoy cooking is Thai food. There is nothing that surpasses a good Pad Thai. However, I am not very talented and usually end up making pre packaged Pad Thai, but it still tastes rather good.

I love trying out recipes from other countries. Though I only just started cooking (got married so I had to learn) I find it exciting when I come across a recipe from magazines. In fact most of the food that I cook come from a recipe. My friend is Indian so I've learned how to make curry. What's funny is that I like to cook Indian food while he likes to cook Filipino food. He says that he likes our food very much.

I love to cook and no cuisine is off limits unless it includes raw fish or something else equally weird. I'd say that Mexican and Italian food are my favorites so my family eats alot of tortillas and pasta.

I'd like to find a site that has recipes from other cultures though so if you have heard of one pass it along please.

I don't cook much of anything but I do order foreign foods on a regular basis. I really enjoy Chinese food and I know I could never make it tastes as it does from my local restaurant.

I lived in Japan for a few years and still get cravings for good Japanese food. Unfortunately there are no Japanese restaurants in my local area.
