Do you always argue with people or try to avoid conflict?

I am not a good talker so I always try to avoid arguements. I know that is not a healthy practice but at least it is better than getting into a fight. This is the situation I find my friend in almost all the time. He is always right and he will argue you till he wins the arguement. I always quit and he thinks that he wins all the time but most of the time he finds himself wanting to quit especially when it comes to arguing with people of that character. Good arguement is a healthy practice but when it becomes a habit of getting into a conflict anytime there is an arguement, that is not the best. What about you? Do you tend to argue with people all the time or try to avoid conflict?

It is good to argue and according to science, healthy arguments are good for your mental development. The more you argue, the more experienced you become though i don't agree to arguing all the time over frivolous things

I do not like arguing with people because you end up quarreling with people.
I try to avoid conflict as much as I can, but sometimes there are just people
that are quite argumentative, this is were your patience can be tested. that is part of life.

I hate arguing with people especially on stupid everyday topics. Its such a waste of time. If it is something totally irrelevant i sometimes even pretend to agree just to put an end to the stupid quarrel.

It depends how I feel and the person I am arguing against. If the person is a total dumb ass then I won't waste my time arguing with them and also if I fee like f*ck it I can't be bothered to argue then I wont. However mostly I do argue about things I feel strongly about or things which I have been wrongly accused off, like one time I got accused of throwing chewing gum on my School bus. The old hag reported me and checked me for chewing gum which pissed me off bad so I argued until we got it sorted and my name was cleared.

I try to avoid conflicts as much as possible. But when its unavoidable, I always make sure that in good terms with the people I had those conflicts.

I do not like arguing with people I know. I am very assertive when it comes to remonstrating with unreasonable or bad mannered people on the phone but face to face with family for example, I would try to avoid completely if the circumstances ever arose. I get physically shaky and my tummy turns over if, for example, I have ever had a disagreement with my daughter-in-law!!

I USED to argue with someone close to me too Kofi. I always got into an argument when i tried to give advice or to look after. But always meet a solid, no win argument back. I eventually came to the conclusion that even though i cared, i was not gonna continually get myself into a fight to do it. So now i avoid a fight. Or try to.

me too not good talker.........i dislike people who argue more often. i am a reserved type. i tried a lot to change my attitude but it result only in the failure,o have any tips to change the attitude ,if so pls post.

I am either not a good talker, nor a good listener. LOL. But usually I will argue with people when I disagree with them. However, I will try to lower down my voice and use a soft tongue to talk with them. If I know I will argue with someone, I will try to make myself silence. But sometimes it makes the atmosphere worse...

I too like to avoid arguments and keep silent, as Shakespeare said, arguments win the situation but loses the person. Ya, in my childhood, i lost lot of relations due to arguing. So, its better to defend that offend in these cases.

I argue with people but not all the time. I like arguing with wise and reasonable people but I hate arguing with fools because arguing with a fool is just a waste of time.
