I beg to disagree that dogs are stupid:p. Dogs are just some of the smartest pets I've known. Do cats bark(or meow) when there is a stranger around the house? No! Do they do something to catch your attention when there is a supposed burglar? No! :p Dogs do! They will even attack the burglar. Isn't that smart? What is the use of cats in the house aside from getting rid of mouse? I prefer dogs, not only for being useful but also they are good friends.

I love both. When I was younger I used to hate cats but then our family had a few of them that really won me over. Also; my girlfriend and I just adopted a kitten so I'd have to say that at the moment I'm a fan of cats! Dogs really are my ideal pet though.

Adolf Hitler had a beautiful German shepherd named Blondie. He tested the cyanide on her to make sure it would work for him just before he committed suicide. I never heard of him having a cat, they would be too disobedient for his tastes, I think.
There's no record of Jesus having a dog. Not sure where that came from.
Although I have loved a few dogs,cats are my favorite pet. They can be exasperating, true, but if a cat really loves you, you know it. They are beautiful, intelligent, interesting pets.

Have to say I love both cats and dogs and can't decide which is a better pet. I've had both as pets, sometimes together and they were all perfect!

I love them both, all animals are so adorable! As for which would make a better pet, It all depends on the owners.

That's very true. I used to despise cats when I was younger (probably due to never having met a nice one) but it all depends on how the animal has been raised. They're both great pets to have and can provide a lot of love and happiness.

I think that both creatures are very great animals. When i was younger I was in love with dogs but now I'm beginning to see what great animals cats actually are and I love them although they can be stubborn at times.

Cats are so vain and self-centered, so my choice is definitely a dog which are more affectionate and playful. I think they are cuter too

Dogs , I love Dogs, They are more energatic and playful , So i completely Adore them. Specially Labradors, German Shepards and Pointers, I`ve had them all as pets, I currently have a Spaniel..

Although I like dogs, my experience with owning them haven't been too great--a few bit my friends and they bark too much which annoys me. Now cats I am very fond of them. My cat is cuddly and smart. I like cats better than dogs 100 percent.

i own 3 !! my lil sweethearts ...... cant imagine a life without them!

and thanks to these 3 there is not a single cat in my neighbourhood!

my neighbour once had a tired to pet a cat lol ... sad things happend to him! and was a hard time controllin all three of my body gaurds !!! lol

Dogs just make too much noise.. sometimes unnecessarily! .. also, you gotta spend more on dogs food than on cats food... well I prefer cats..

I think that it all depends on what is your preference and not on something because they are stupid or faster. Owning a pet depends on what works for you, if you have big garage then dogs are much fine for you because they have a place outside but if you are living on an apartment then cats would be better because of the fewer space needed.

Definitely dogs are better pets than cats.Dogs are most faithful than any other animals in the world.I've a German Sepherd & I love playing with him while at home.

I think that dogs are actually smarter than cats, in some ways. To be honest though, I like birds better than dogs or cats! :p

Dogs are not always stupid! My sister has a dog that is extremely intelligent, she does act stupid sometimes when she doesn't want to do something but she is quiet the smart dog.
I prefer dogs, most specifically a Chiuhau or however you spell it. Those small short hair dogs. They can be annoying but very cute as well, and VERY loyal.

I like cats ok, but I'm a dog lover straight from the heart! I have four myself and they are basically just four more additional children. I have three that are outside dogs and they are all the best watch dogs I have ever had. I also have one inside dog and she's everybody's baby. So, even though I like to have a cat or two around, I still would never consider giving up my dogs.

I remember that I used to have a dog when I was just little. Even if it is along time ago, I can’t forget what happened to that dog, my father had shot my dog because it has rabies and it would always chase other people around.

Cats are only cute pets with a very stinky shit that really gets in to my nerves. Dogs are man's best friend cat's are rats worst enemy. Dogs can save people and can do life-saving jobs as well as performing deadly tasks like bomb sniffing. Can cats do this? The only thing nice about cats is that they are really loyal and sweet.

How funny! So, I take it you are not a big fan of the cat? LOL I can deal with a few cats keeping the mice away outside, but I have to admit there's no better pet to me than my adorable dogs.

For me, it would just have to be dogs. I find them more enjoyable to be with and I just love playing with them as I was growing up. No cats for me. I'm afraid they'll scratch me if I come near them!
