Default Who is loved the more - God loves us equally?

Since God is the Creator of all people does He love all nationalities the same? Does He love Caucasians more than those of darker skin color? Does God hold the worth of a Christian's soul greater than that of a Muslim? Can we call upon God to defeat our enemies when He loves those souls as well? I don't know but I do have my opinions.
Anybody?

God loves us all equally as we were created in his image, plus he sent his own flesh (Jesus) down to die for us - that's a huge act of love there. However God also judges us as to if we have really followed him, really followed the path Jesus sets out for us.

There have been many depictions in the bible where God has acted against whole armies to protect his people - so yes God will act to protect his people and it has been proven a few times that I can recall.

Does that answer most of your questions?

Not even close.

Jesus taught to love our enemies and do good to them that spitefully use us. Was He talking to us of today or was it meant for those of His time on earth only?

Jesus also taught of the ‘good Samaritan’ attitude toward strangers and even perceived enemies.

According to His teachings we are to turn the other cheek, walk the extra mile, give the extra amount of what is asked for.

Killing one’s enemies was not what Christ advocated of those who would follow Him. Did He not pray for the forgiveness of those nailing Him to the cross?

No you have not answered any of my questions with your patented response. Can your reach deeper to that place where Jesus and His teaching are paramount in what is believed of the character of God the Father?

Remember all the times Jesus instructed that to know the Father is possible through knowing the Son?

I have come to this site in the hopes of finding those that realize the ‘old time religion’ is not valid unless it teaches the dictates of LOVE as Christ did among men?

There is so much more to be gained by beholding the life of Christ most over all the words of rules and condemnations.

Our duty is to love our God, our brothers and sisters, our neighbors, our friends, our enemies.

Does anyone here know of what I speak? If please let me hear from you.

Smile Re: Who is loved the more - God loves us equally?

In my little understanding, I think that God loves some people more than others. For example even in the Bible, God loves all the children of Israel however, Abraham was regarded as the friend of God which means that even though God loves them all, God loves Abraham even the more. God cannot love Osama Bin Laden the same way he loves the innocent little girl with smiles all over her face.

asking whether God is partial toward a particular religion, race or creed is just like asking a mother that who among the two children she likes more. God is no doubt the creator of every thing in this universe. when he made humans, he didn't make any distinctions between them. he gave same no. of eyes, nose, ear, brain to every one. he blessed every one equally with all the necessities require to live. but with the advent of time it is we humans who created disparities between rich and poor, black and white, hindu and muslims, christ and anti-christ. God has nothing to do with all this, he did his job well. so blaming God of anything is baseless and unfair.

God is the only one who is impartial and sees all with same eye. for him no one is big or small, beautiful or ugly, rich of poor, christian or Jew. he is the almighty who has given birth to all with almost same characteristics. he has not differentiated in air, water, soil, all the disparities are man made and it is the immortal; man who loves or hates. God only loves he never hates.

The only reason to "call upon God to defeat our enemies" would be if we were having a religious war. We all know how well that worked out last time. Its God's business if he loves everyone or not, who are we to asked and therefore question God? Religion should be left out of social situations.

In the eyes of God everyone is equal. God like those people who help others and I think God loves those people who are good and help others.

God is our creator.
He has anything that is beyond our imagination. Pure love that beyond anything else in this world.
So by asking things from humans eye itself can not be received as a right answer

The way I see it God loves all his children. We are all his children. Brothers and sisters. I don't see why some people think God loves some people more that others. To me that's just ridicilous. I'm not that much of a religious person. I beliave in God and in good. That's about it. I have never read the Bible(maybe one time when I was a little kid) nor do I plan to anymore, but I do beliave he loves us all.

God is the only one who can answer these questions for certain. However, he has given us his word (Bible) as a guide as to what to believe and how we should live- he has also given us free choice. It is our choice how we want to live our lives and that is how we will be judged in the end. Have you lived you life for Christ?
Personally, I do believe that he loves us all the same- as a mother would (hopefully) love her children the same. He dislikes what some people do but still loves them anyway.

I don't think God loves us equally. For example God ordered Saul to kill all the Amorites leaving not even the little children and babies who don't know what sin is. The same God rescued the Israelites several times even when the Israelites disobeyed Him. God loved the Israelites more than the Amorites

DEUTERONOMY 20:15 - 17: Thus you shall do to all the cities that are very far from you, which are not cities of the nations here. But in the cities of these peoples that the LORD your God is giving you for an inheritance, you shall save alive nothing that breathes, but you shall devote them to complete destruction, the Hittites and the Amorites, the Canaanites and the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites, as the LORD your God has commanded

From this passage, its clear that God only loves the Israelites. Hence they are called the "chosen people." God commanded his people to invade the already occupied lands and KILL everyone in there. Everything in the old testament is for the Jews. Laws, commandments, etc... I have nothing against the Jews here and Im not envious that they have a God (as Im not religious), its just sickening that other people outside of the ones who are chosen include themselves in this religion. If their God really made the whole universe, then He should not have a picked a group of people as "His" people.

I don't know but I do have my opinions. Anybody?

I don't have an opinion but this is what God told Peter to tell Cornelius, a Roman Centurion, when he sought God if God would accept him.

Peter told this Roman man and his whole household that God is no respecter of persons But in every nation he that fears him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.

So we find the opinion of God is that in any nation you can be accepted. White, black, brown, yellow or anything in-between.
If God is no respecter of persons then there is no doubt He does not think a Muslim is worth more than a catholic or any other religion in the world.
Can we call upon God to defeat our enemies when He loves those souls as well?
From what God told this Roman guy we see that if you fear God and work righteousness you will be accepted by Him. If you don't you won't. According to God we will be judged on our works whether they be good or evil. That being the case and in light of God's law of liberty, do to others as you would like then to do to you, you would be asking God to break his law if you ask God to trash someone you do not like. Also if you asked God to defeat your enemy and there was bloodshed you would be guilty of asking God to break His sixth commandment of thou shall not kill.

Sorry I cannot give you an opinion but only what God says on the subjects you inquire into.

God's agape love is available to all of us equally so God loves us equally. Even though God loves us equally, not all of us experiences God's love at the same intensity because the more you sin, the farther away you get from God and the farther away you get from God, the little his love you will experience. We are all sinners but some are more sinful than others so some experience God's love more than others
