What makes you happy? money or family?

Some are saying that money makes their world go round while some are saying that family is what keeps them happy. How about you?

While I have to admit I'm pretty happy on the rare weeks that all the bills are paid and we have a little left over to use for family outings, I think the health of my family makes me so much happier. The past couple of years my husband has had some mild health problems and my mother inlaw was diagnosed with Hodgkins disease in February. I would be so happy if they both were 100% better, no matter how much money I ever have.

What makes me happy is having my family around me, all in good health. Having enough money to have the bills paid is good too, lol. :p

I think that what will make happy is when I don have my own house. I want to get out of my parent’s house and leave my own life so that I could enjoy my life a little more. I know that this sounds selfish but I really think that if I’m going to stay at home with my parents then I wouldn’t grow up as a person.

keeper, I don't think that sounds selfish at all. I think if someone is going to experience life fully, it is best to experience it out on your own. Although, there are people out there who are content to stay with their parents. If that works for everyone involved then I see no wrong in it.

This answer is going to sound really bad, but its so true. When everything is going my way, I'm happy. I know it makes me sound very selfish and egotistical, but think about it: Are you truly happy when something isn't going your way (that you have control of)? I never remember being happy when I couldn't pay my bills or when my car would break down lol. But I do try to remain humble and grateful, and always think that "it could be worse". I try to be happy even when nothing's going my way, which unfortunately is sometimes very hard to do.

A happy life for me is when you are contented with what you have in life. It's not bad to struggle hard but too much of means greed. So, you should be thankful even on the tinniest blessings you receive each day!

I am happy when I am honest with myself first and with people around me , which is not that easy . Sometimes ,people would act in a way that make difficult for me to be honest with them and tell them the whole truth .I really feel irritated when that happens .

Seeing my son smile makes me happy it might sound cheesy but thats all it takes. We were at the Beach a few weeks ago and the best part of it was watching him discover things for the first time and the obvious joy he found in them.

b) Create a completely new script.

What make me happy are seeing the happy faces of my kids each morning and seeing their peaceful faces when asleep at night. They really light up my life! Happiness is something so subjective -- meaning mine could be different from yours and from one person to another. Everybody would be wishing for happiness and I think people are working to have it everyday. Sadly, happiness is something so elusive. Or maybe, we have just forgotten to go basic as we approach life. Will money make you happy? Will position of power be your gauge of happiness? Or successful business of your own? Or a successfully raised family?

Whatever it is, we must always remember that just like success, happiness is a journey and not a destination. For me, happiness will always end up with the family. I mean it is the bottom line. It encompasses everything to me.

All other thing like money and material wealth will boil down to nothing without a good family as the backdrop and foundation of everything while living in this increasingly sad world.

Working hard for our own happiness, we must make sure that the end justifies the means...always.

Happiness could simply mean being satisfied with what you have and what you are. If there is contentment of what you currently have or of what you currently are, then basically happiness comes in. If you keep on haunting for more even though you for yourself know you could not have them or could not become one, are you happy? Honestly you're not. Then, where is happiness? Be content, be the most, be the best of what you have and what you are, make the most out of it and for sure happiness will be on its way to meet you.
