What do you guys think of tattoos?

I've always thought tattoos were pretty cool, but I've never gotten one (well, at least not a permanent one.) I'm not sure when it comes to getting one - I may in the future, but for now I think I'll stay with none. It's always nice to watch the tattoo artists at work, though!

Personally - they are not for me!! I can't stand getting needles when I have to go to the doctors - there is no way I am getting 'several needles filled with INK' stuck into me anywhere at anytime. This would not happen.

But if it doesn't bother you, I enjoy looking at other peoples. I will just ask if it hurt!!

For me, tattoo is an art and not considered as dirt.. Some people especially the priests/nuns or other religious people consider tattoo as a dirt in the humans body. I really don't know why.. But for me and for others who likes tattoo, its an art not some sort of junk.. But if you'll gonna apply on a big company and you have a tattoo, i suggest you to get rid of that tattoo.. Its a very strict policy of a company that whoever wants to apply on the company must be neat.

in my own opinion,tattoo is a work of art,though I am not into it, I am scared of needles and I have heard that it has a bad effect in our blood.

In my opinion tattoos are meant for the young because they have a young skin and which make them look more attractive and it also depends on the type of design chosen. Some people use designs which at times are of an aggressive nature like the human skull,dragons,swords, etc.

I've always wanted a tattoo and don't have a problem with them. The only reason I'm not already painted is I never decided on what I wanted to put on my body.

I almost got a tattoo last year in Vegas but I decided that the decision on what to put on my body permanently was best made sober...so I'm turning 30this year and am going to get one on my bday.

I do like some people who have tattoos on them, some are really great to look at, although on others it look messy and dirty.

It's right that in some cultures/ethnics tattoos are necessary in demonstrating their power and prestige, its like an insignia to them just as the military has stars on its breast plate. However, in some it its abhorred as a sign of bad personality, stereotyped as convicts or ex-convicts, thugs, and so on.. It's good for those who have tattoos in liberated countries who think of it as art.

Tattoos have nowadays turned into more than a fashion statement. They are in fact a reflection of one's personality, and for those looking for a peek into the real person that one is, a tattoo may afford useful clues. A downside to having a tattoo is that if one feels like getting rid of his latest fetish manifested by a tattoo, it is not as easy as shedding or changing one's clothes!

I think it's cool. but i don't have tattoos at all.
Except tattoos I found in snacks when I was little, I never had tattoos.
But some of my friends have tattoos on their arms and some other places....

I personally have one tattoo, I got it years ago while I was into the native American crafts era of my life. I made dream catchers and hair pipe chokers and loved the beading side of the culture so I decided to get a beaded bracelet on my ankle with eagle feathers hanging from it.

And I still love the look of it it reminds me of happier times in my life. I don't care for the full sleeve tattoos but I do like them If they mean something to the person and not just the shock factor of them being tattooed all over their body

I think that tattoos are cool and I really like those tribal designs. But I won't consider getting one on my own body permanently. I will probably get sick or bored of the tattoo after a while since I'll be looking at the same design every single day and its there to stay(unless you decide to have it remove later on in life). Besides that, I'm afraid of pain too. The thought of being poked by a needle continuously just make me shudder.

The society generally has a negative impression of people with tattoo since they are always associated with gangsters and hooligans, so it may be harder to make a good first impression (esp during job interviews).

I'll rather not get a tattoo and regret it later on in life.

Tattoos are pretty cool!! It is a great way to express your feelings. I have a 666 on the back of my neck. That really makes many people go overboard when they see me. I do like to see the reaction on their face when they see my tattoo. I got it in my school days when I was much more rebellious than today.

yo! people....i am thinking of getting a tattoo in a few months time as soon as my stupid good for nothing exams get over.
i was really ambitious about getting a fairly visible tattoo all over my shoulder and trickling a bit down to my arm, just peeping out of my sleeve a little bit. i need the one that shows attitude, and arrogance...and *** " I RULE!, YEAAAHHH!!"
well, my question is that is this a little too ambitious and "get the hell up from your stupid dream of yours"....or sort of realistic?
whats the cost of getting such a tattoo? and future consequences of getting a tattoo i mean during interviews and all!!?

I am amazed that some guys and gals could get that much tattoos all over their body! I don't have tattoos, but I like seeing nice tattoos on other peoples' bodies. I'm scared of the pain and I hate being pricked by needles.

I just content myself to looking at those nicely-drawn and colorful bodies, although it looks dirty on others depicting ex-convicts. It matters how these tattoos are drawn and placed on strategic places.

I have to say, that this is the one thing that I would never do to myself or my body. I have a lot of friend who have tattoos and sure, some of them love their tattoos and wouldn't give it a second thought on getting another one, but one of them really regrets getting one and that just turned me off instantly. I mean just the thought itself that your putting something on your body permanently freaks me out. I think to myself I might like the idea now, but when I'm older I might really hate it and it might look really stupid or cheezy as the time progresses.

i personally think tattoos.. well they don't bother me at all. i think getting a tattoo is showing your personality. like c'mon you won't get a tattoo you don't like. your going to get one that represents you.. i actually think there for a good cause

i would not think of getting a tattoo on any part of my body. i don't want my kids to think that i was once rebellious or something, they might get the wrong idea that i once disobeyed my parents and would do likewise. although, i would say that some individuals carry a tattoo well on them, but some really look dirty with bad tattoos on them.

when we look around, we can easily find tons of teenagers both boys and girls having tattoos on their arms or other parts of their bodies. for them it is surely fashionable and a way to look cool and it works also. but not on all. on people it suits but on some, it doesn't and last but not the least, it can harm your skin also

tattoos are very nice to flaunt but very difficult to get. the pain which we have to go through for getting a reasonably sized tattoo is not worth it. I would prefer an eye catching T shirt with slogans than tattooed body. Swimming pool is an exception:P

I got a tattoo a few years ago, I wasn't sure if I would like it so I had it done on my back. It looks good and now I wish I had it somewhere where i actually see it, I'm getting another as soon as I can afford it.

I can understand why people wouldn't want one or even like the look of them on others, but as long as it doesn't prejudice them against anyone it's fine.

I don't like tattoos. I like my skin fresh and without spot. tattoos are some sort of art, i agree with that . However, I don't think a flower or a snake, none of it looks good on your skin, whether it is in arm or in your face or in your back. And the truth is in my region tattoos are not popular. Air with fresh and glowing skin is more appealing than with some tattoo.

I think tattoos are great, and quite the investment, barring you get something you'll never regret. I personally, have a cross. I think I may regret it now though..

well, you have the right to do whatever you want to do with your body. Tattoos are nice but I wouldn't go in for a tattoo because tattoo does nothing good to the body in the long run. You can even get skin cancer

As for tattoos and my feelings on them, I absolutely love, love, love them (on either males or females). I don't have any myself just yet but I sure do hope to someday in the future. However, I doubt I'd go with anything large in size on myself, because, being that I'm on the petite side, I personally think anything large would look odd on me. As for tat's in themselves, though, I think they are a fantastic, sexy, wonderful form of art and a great way for some folks to express themselves with something other than just plain ol' words.

I think tattos can be an expression of who you are, and they can be very beautiful and attractive. I am attracted to certain kinds of men and their body art. There are many tattos that I do not like, but some are appealing. I have two tattos and I want to get a third and a forth possibly. I have a tribal design on my stomach, barbed wire on my ankle, but I am not sure what I want to get next. Maybe something small, and feminine.
