The Problem of Resurrection - The problem of Identity

It is not as if I don't believe in resurrection, but it is only that I am always confused, especially when I think of the problem of identity. Another thing that comes to my mind is how does the soul get a body? Or is it the case that only the soul will be resurrected and interrogated? If yes, then, how do we know when the soul is standing, or that it is the soul of a particular person.
On the other hand, if no, then, it means it has to get a body, perhaps the one it had previously used while on earth. But is it the decayed one? Is this not a problem in religion.
What are justifications of the religious groups that hold onto this belief?

Bodily ressurection in the traditional sense is a physical impossibility. What would make more sense is reincarnation, same spirit, new body. Many religions teach reincarnation, and it may well have been what Christianity taught before the Catholic Church was invented and the religion convoluted to reflect what the new church wanted everyone to believe.

Also google 'the third testament' written by prophets of the 18th and 19th century IIRC... I've read quite a bit of it and it shows reincarnation, and it seems to me to make a lot more sense than the traditional idea of ressurection. I've got an open mind on the subject.
