Doesn't make much sense does it? I like it when I hear someone asking real questions. It's such thing of beauty. If you look at where the bible comes from, how it came to be, by what hand it was forged... you can begin to make sense of its content. It is actually very Jewish/Greek/Roman/Pagan. Why? Because people can't let go of tradition and embrace truth and change, usually because they are not ready for it or its too extreme or because of a lack of understanding or all of the above. This is why Jesus was crucified. If he were here today, he might not be crucified but he would surely be cast into the street or a loony bin, disregarded by society as a nut job or extremist. The first "Christian" Emperor Constantine and his first councel of Nicea were responsible for nearly destroying every trace of truth brought forth and taught by Christ. They are the high Priests responsible for the composition and content of today's "Holy Bible"... They are the ones who deified Jesus for political reasons. Constantine's ultimate goal was to stop fighting among his people and unify his empire so he could be more powerful. He was an expert ruler. (Please excuse any spelling errors. I am admittedly a terrible speller and I'm a bit rushed at the moment.)
The truth is there is no "Holy Trinity". Jesus was the same as you and me with one exception; he was a spiritual master. Any truth he applied to himself, can be applied to you. Jesus's message was one of Universal truth and Love. We are all God's children. He loves us all equally and with infinity. We are as eternal as God because we are embodiments of him and his infinite love. The kingdom of heaven isn't in buildings of wood and stone, and its not in the sky. The kingdom of heaven is in you and it is all around you. All you need to do to find it is open your mind and heart to God's love. Continue to seek and you will be disturbed and then you will be amazed.
I recommend researching Constantine for yourself. Also take a look at the Nag Hammadi Library. Good luck
