The Holy Spirit and the Speaking in Tongues
Does the Holy Spirit always manifest His presence in a believer through the ability to "speak in tongues"? Why do some believers speak in tongues while others cannot?. I know Catholics do not speak in tongues. Others such as the Seventh Day Adventists do not speak in tongues but the pentecostal churches are always in speaking in tongues. I remember I accompanied a friend of mine to church one day in Africa. When it was time for prayers, almost all the people in the building were speaking in tongues and I was the odd one out. Is it because the Holy Spirit doesn't like me? Is it because I do not qualify to speak in tongues? What does the Bible say about the speaking in tongues? What do you think?
