Stories of those who have chosen to leave a religion
I would love to hear conversion stories from folks out there! Or even stories of those who have chosen to leave a religion.
Me, I was raised Mormon but found many aspects of this religion unsatisfying (rampant racism among church leaders, especially Brigham Young, changes to doctrines of the church etc) For many years I did not participate in any religion but I also found that to be unsatisfying. Lately I have been studying Islam and I find it very attractive, especially when you just go back to the basics and strip away all of the interpretations and just look at the fundamentals of Islam. So how about it? Where are you on your spiritual journeys? |
