I think it depends on a person's body constitution. You simply cannot generalize. For instance, if a person has diabetes or liver complications or kidney problems, then drinking will be bad for him/her. On the other hand if he/she has blood pressure and a genetic predisposition to stroke, then smoking can be more harmful. I quit smoking about a year back and I notice my body is less trimmer and my stomach more bloated. Moreover, I also feel that smoking tends to smoothen the nerves of some nervous people. I seem to be a bunch of nerves these days. I still wonder if I have chosen the wrong vice for me -- drinking!
