The Bible says Jesus is the way, the truth and the light and no one goes to the father except through Jesus. The Bible also says that Jesus and the Father are one and hence Jesus is God.

Who so ever do not worship Jesus or do not believe that Jesus is God cannot enter the Kingdom of God (Heaven).

Muslims worship Allah (God) and also believe that Mohammed is a prophet and messenger of Allah. Muslims do not believe that Jesus Christ is God.

Jews worship the true God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.
Jews do not believe in Jesus and hence are not Christians. Other religions also believe in the true God of Abraham even though they do not believe in Jesus.

Do you think all these religious groups are going to hell?

Hmm... I thought that Christians were the ones going to hell for not being Islamists and summiting themselves to the will of Allah. Or maybe both Christians and Islamists are going to hell for not belonging to some other religion.

How really can you tell? All religions claim to be the truth and many of them also claim that they are the only way to a heavenly afterlife. However, not one of them has anymore substantial evidence than the other to prove this.

The answer just may be that what determines whether anyone goes to hell or not is purely luck. If you are lucky enough to be born in a region of the world where the correct religion is practiced and become indoctrinated into it then you will surly go to heaven. Whatever religion that may be. For all else that were not so lucky to be indoctrinated into the true religion, well .. sorry but your going to hell.

Does this sound like the reasonable or rational behavior of a loving God? But then who is to question what is rational to such a transcendent being? If all religions claim to be the only right one, then obviously all are wrong but for one. Or maybe all are wrong and there is no right one. What we can conclude is that they surly can not all be right as most of them contradict each other. Therefore either all religions are wrong or all but one is wrong.

Now my friend, as it sounds you seem to believe that the religion you practice is the word of God. I ask you then, how do you know that you have not been unluckily deceived by your culture to believe a false religion? The chances of this happening are in your favor. Is there something that fills you with conviction that this could not be? If so, do you really think that this inner conviction of your deepest beliefs are any more stronger then those belonging to people of other faiths?

The nature of the human being is to conform and adapt to its surrounding environment. This primitive self preservation technique enables us to work together to build interdependent societies which help to ensure the survival of our species. Religion is something that has existed since the dawn of man.

It has been an efficient mechanism to aid this cohesion process. It creates a commonness amongst different individuals which allows them to bond and create sufficiently structured societies. The negative to this is that many of us, even though intelligent, become confined by and consumed by our surrounding environment.

The purpose of me writing this is not to degrade you or your beliefs in anyway. What I would hope that it does is to cause you to question the fiber of your reality and provoke thought that is more independent of the influences of which surrounds you.

I would hope that it would make you ask how you can be sure of anything and whether you can prove that your beliefs are nothing more than a mechanism of evolution that aids in the process of building civilizations.

I saw an interesting skit on one of the cable shows the other night. The situation showed a man going to heaven and when he gets there he is faced with the most unlikely of canditates .. eg.. his pervert uncle, a serial killer, a couple of other "unlikelys"... he then begs to be sent out of heaven because he was up there with riff raff that he hated. The riff raff kept saying, Yeah, I'm up here, I confessed, I've been forgiven...etc. it was kind of shawk-n-all!

Were they Christians? I'm assuming they were!

Lets put it this way! Has somebody came back from the death and live to tell us that there is heaven or hell.

Anyone who has their own religion all has heaven and hell if you ask me.
But it does not mean if you are a Christian you have ticket to heaven already.
what if you are a SINNER! do you think God, Allah or any other supreme being will accept you!

The answer is a BIG NO! you are not welcome to anybodies kingdom. because to don't deserve it. You'll just make chaos on a peaceful place.

Even in reality, nobody likes a bad person or a sinner not unless they have repent all their sins.

There is nothing like cristians will go to heaven and some other religion will go to hell or something.

If you do good cause or good things, you will definitely go to heaven, even though you are from a different religion but if you do sins, every one can assure you that yu will go to hell for sure.

If there was a religion with 100% proof that if you believed in their beliefs you would get to heaven, I guarantee you everyone would drop their current religion like a bad habit.

I agree with arcel, I don't think it matters what religion you are, if you're a bad person, you're not getting into heaven, no matter who owns it.

That is true , the Bible says so. But also the bible says that anybody in this Universe will bow down ,worship and give glory to the Son of God finally .
When will happen that?
Obviously , some people will accept Jesus as their Lord in this life and they will go to heaven when die , the others will go first in hell for a period of time.
I don't believe that hell is forever , I think those who will go there will stay a limited time ,depending on what kind of life they lived on this Earth .

I don't think so. Anyone can live a good life, serve God and people. I guess those are some of the basic requirements for a person can go to heaven. Regardless of what religion they are in. Only God knows and decide who are those deserving to be with Him.

religions doesn't matter it's a matter of faith remember this "The LORD says, "I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name."

Heaven is a place for the righteous ,the pure in heart and the pure in spirit. I think that anybody who knows what is right and does what is right can go to heaven. Anybody who hates evil and praises goodness can go to heaven. Anybody who gives alms to the needy and the poor and share what he or she has can go to heaven and anybody who forgives and cherishes love can go to heaven.

I don't think only "Christians" will go to Heaven.

To begin with, a good portion of the fake Christians will probably not get the privilege due to their sinful acts.

We are not perfect so some people who have done some bad things will still go to Heaven as God will forgive them, and I think even some people who have never heard of God but were good people will still be saved as they did good. Life is sort of like a test in a way, and you don't have to get a perfect score to go on, especially since it's rather hard to do since humans are not perfect.

It also depends on if you believe that there is a hell!

There is no proof that there is a heaven, there is no proof that there is a hell, there is no proof that one religion is right and all the others are wrong. In my opinion when the day comes and if there is such a place of heaven and hell you will be let in depending on if you are good inside or not, no matter what religion you are.

As a Buddhist, we don't believe you will go to either.

But I don't want to speak for all buddhists.

What I've learned is that people will constantly relive life as reincarnations. Having second lives, etc.

Heaven is reserved for people who serve the gods and for the people who are free from pain and misery and granted a happy life after death.

Hell is reserved for people who break the principles of life and a punishment to "sinners".

So technically you can say, after you die, you are granted a "timed reward". Either going to heaven for X amount of time or going to hell for Y amount of time. Then you reincarnate and live life once again.

That's what I believe is the life-cycle. Please do not pick on other buddhists. This is what I believe in as a buddhist, and I don't speak for all of them.

The statement itself is cent percent incorrect since it chooses to give other religions a step-motherly treatment.

How can one make such statements without fully understanding the strength of other religions too.

To me, a religion is nothing but a faith of one self towards him and his society and so...there should never be any comparisons between any religions.

Let us instead wish...that all human beings become so nice and pure that the place like hell..(if anything like that exists)....is completely erased forever !!!

This seems a little ridiculous of a principle to me. Christians tend to cite the bible as proof of this and other fact, but you ignore the fact that us non-Christians don't believe in the bible. Likewise, the miracle of the sky and trees and all that isn't enough either. You need a better argument, especially given the facts and statistics of religions.

There are a lot of people with a lot of beliefs. Some Christians are believed by other Christians to not really BE Christians. So, how likely is it that you are the only ones that are right?

In the bible , it is mention that there is judgment day ..... the last day of the world ...... it says Father, from whence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. it is not said only the christian .... all the living & the dead will be judged & heaven for the good & hell for the bad .......

I always thought that Christians believe that we can only go to heaven through God, thus making it like a mutually exclusive thing.

Assuming that heaven and hell actually exist, I think that the different religion will probably go to their respective heaven, so it seems like everyone except those non-religious people will end up in heaven.

There's no definite answer for this since the idea of heaven and hell or afterlife cannot be proven or disproved.

Your statement that all religions believe in god of Abraham is false. Buddhists and Hindus do not believe in god of Abraham.

As far as the part about not going to heaven for not believing in Jesus, I would much rather join Gandhi in hell than join Jesus in heaven. If a great man like Gandhi cannot enter this heaven I don't want to do anything about that heaven.

by default God assumes that you don't know him at all. but once you knew God [the true God] that way you have now the responsibility to worship him.

And if you dont know God, then he will only judge you by means of what you knew what is right within your heart.

With all the similarities between religions, why we continue to be so divisive?
I feel content to just follow the principle that is ever present in all religions: "do unto others as you would have them do unto you".
I don't think my religion is going to determine whether I go to heaven.

That's pretty much my take on it too. If God is perfect (which he must be as a 4 dimentional being), it makes sense that God will be fair when it comes to judging people.

Besides, isn't Hell supposed to be a state of separation from God? If that's the case then people have a choice to get to know God or not, and therefore a choice to be with God (i.e. go to heaven) or to be without God (i.e. be in separation and therefore be in Hell). If this is the case then people actually CHOOSE to go to hell rather than be sent there.

I don't think it is healthy for us to view God as this great cosmic bully who sends people to be tortured for all eternity because they screwed up in life. I have read a lot about this stuff on the internet, and the Hellfire and Brimstone as we understand it were preached originally by the Catholic Church after they finally decided which Gospels to include and which ones to exclude from what we now call the canon Bible.

I don't see Christianity as a massive list of 'Do's and 'Dont's on penalty of going to hell if we slip up. Avoidance of Hell is no reason to believe, loving God is reason enough to believe.

I don't agree with this statement. I believe only in the day of judgment when God will decide our fate upon our deeds. Those who did good deeds in life will be rewarded with heaven and the sinners will go to hell...its simple as that.

Belief in God is belief in God, regardless of religion. Being a Christian, it's disheartening to think that fellow God loving men and women would be denied eternity in grace due to religious affiliation.

If one does not die (cease to live) to self and live a holy/spiritual/perfect life with the help of the holy spirit, one will never enter the kingdom of God and see Jesus and God whatever religion you are.
Nothing that is unclean/sinful can enter God's kingdom.

1. Love God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.
2. Love your neighbor as you love yourself.

Stop criticizing others, and let us learn to live a holy/spiritual/perfect/peaceful life, so we can enter the kingdom of God/ heaven, whatever/whoever (religion) we are.
