Is Slain in the Spirit mere emotionalism and euphoric?
What do you think? Is slain in the spirit Biblical? Which part of the Bible permits people to be "slain in the spirit"?
A woman is at church dancing and worshiping the Lord. All of the sudden she starts shaking and gyrating ecstatically. People observe her as she moves out of control, no longer thinking and using her logic. She then shakes so hard that she hits a pew and passes out on the floor, knocking her head on the way down. This is common in most Pentecostal, Full Gospel churches, but is this biblical? Are people that are "full of the Spirit" out of control and spastic or is this mere emotionalism and euphoric?
