Is religion religion and is God God?

Religion is religion and God is God!

The power that brought everything into existence, through creation or evolution is generally called God by humans. Of course the maker of anything is greater than what was made by it's maker. If not then the thing made would have more intelligence than it's maker.

Lets look at the earth. It sustains all forms of life in it. It multiplies all forms. It has been doing this from it's inception. Everything, the stars the earth the suns, everything one can see and cannot see had a source. This source is called God by mankind. God is God!!! Man can know God by his creation, the beauty of it, the maintaining of life of it, the relativity of it all and all free to man to use as he sees fit.

Now religion is religion and nothing but religion. By religious acts man tries to define themselves a god. LQQk, god is in Islam. LQQk god is in our church. LQQk god is here or no god is there. God is anyplace except in his creation.

God is in is creation and greater than his creation, the big bang or anything else man can think of to define a god to their liking. How do you like the christian god who devised a plan so he could accept an evil man? All men are evil says the christian god. I have a plan that will let me love the evil man. I will send a very good man to earth and will have him tortured unmerciful for hours on end, hanging by nails on a cross in the hot desert sun crying for just a drink of water and I will give him a good drink of vinegar in love, and then I will have a sward shoved into his guts to make sure I have been satisfied that I can accept evil men. All that a christian needs to do is to accept this plan of their god to be honky-dory with him. The plan? The mindset of the christian god? Evil pays for evil!

So the question is: Is God in the nature of what you can and cannot see or is God in the confines of the religion of man? OR Is religion religion and is God God or is God religion and religion God?

I came across a similar question online months ago but couldn't answer. If God truly loves us then why should and why must Jesus die to pay for our sins? Jesus died and paid for our sins because God cannot forgive us freely. If God cannot forgive and forget freely then where is the love the Bible talks about?.
This is very similar to the ancestral gods in Africa. My great grandfather had to sacrifice goats and sheep to the gods anytime he offended any of the gods the same way the Jews sacrificed animals and in some cases human beings to the God of Abraham. In other words, the God of Abraham just like the ancestral gods in Africa cannot forgive freely without getting some blood in return. Jesus' blood paid for our sins and God forgave us after getting the blood.

I asked a question here some months ago about whether there exist two distinct gods in the Bible. the Bible sometimes talks about a truly loving God who easily forgives us even as we remain sinners without asking for anything in return. On the other hand is a god who never forgives unless he gets some blood in return.

Is God religion? My answer is NO. God is not religion and religion is not God. Religion is just human invention and anything humans create is full of nothing but "imperfections". As we can see in today's world. Religion kills more people than any weapon of mass destruction I have ever heard of.

I truly believe there is a God up there somewhere who created this world and is NOT part of the things He created although the things He created sometimes reflect His glory and power. However, in my opinion, the God in Religion today is quite different from the Creator of all things. Although religion was meant to bring man closer to God, religion has failed miserably in my opinion in the sense that, man has created several gods in religion although there exists just one Creator of all things. The several gods man has created today sometimes makes it very hard to realize the existence of the one true God who created all things.

In my opinion, religion is religion and God is God. religion has something to do with the god or gods man has created but has very little to do with the one God who created all things.

Kofi my dear friend, I wish you were my neighbor so we could talk hour after hour. Jesus said he came to give us an understanding of the true God. Jesus said to the Jewish religious leaders that his God and Father will have mercy and not sacrifice for sins if the sinner would just repent and turn from his sin. Surly not the god of religion.

That is true if man tries to find the true God in religion. That is like trying to pick an apple off of a fig tree. It is just not there and never will be.

By the way Kofi, it is such a pleasure to talk with you for you are very perceptive and analytic in the way your mind reasons things out. I love your comments and your posts. Please do more posting for I believe it to be a great help not only for your own people but for all peoples around the world. I know one person who who has learned many things from you. That person is me. Keep it up for you are one of the few straight thinkers.
