Question If God created everything then where from Evil?

In Christianity, God created everything and that everything God created was Good. If God created everything then where from Evil. Remember, every thing God created was "good". It is unquestionably true that there is no greater obstacle to faith than that of the reality of evil and suffering in the world. Consider the extreme poverty and hunger in Africa, In Cambodia, In india, in Botswana, in Sudan, etc., consider the 9/11 attack on the world trade center and how many people lost their lives, consider the innocent lives lost in the Iraq war and the "Darfur", etc. Indeed, even for the believing Christian, there is no greater test of faith than this - that the God who loves him permits him to suffer, at times in excruciating ways
what do you think?.. why does God allow evil ??

I don't think God allows any evil to happen to anybody.. the Idea of evil per se is just a human invention. To me evil does not exist. It is just the absence of goodness. Absence implies "nothing" which implies that evil is "nothing" in itself and since "nothing" cannot exist, evil does not exist. The only thing that exists by itself is goodness and we can choose to do good or not to do good.

Most of the beliefs about GOD are the mangled remains of pre-Christian deities who represented human archetypes.

It isn't God who creates good and evil, it is people who create and feel hardship and joy, labeled good or evil by people.

Bika, that was a good example! There has to be a balance in everything, including good and evil. Why did God allow my family's home to burn down, leaving them with nothing? I don't know but God had a reason, even if we don't know why. The same goes for God allowing evil.

Default Evil is the advent of man

God does not promote or allow evil. If you take the Christian view point, we have free will. God cannot or will not control us, so the existence of evil can only exist since it is our will. When we finally have the will to end evil, there will be no stick or stone under which it will be permitted to exist.

Evil has come from the enemies of God. In the beginning some angels denies God as their ruler and thus created their own organization. They were thrown in the pit of fire and hence they become what are evil.

When man come, the devils are already there and thus encouraging man to commit evil. Remember about Adam and Eve when they eat the forbidden fruit. I believe that this cause God to let man think what he would like to do in his life. Man has been given the free of choice.

when God created the universe, he every bit of his work with utmost care and compassion. he created a unquestionably perfect and unmatched machinery called humans. he put in every thing that was necessary for hime to survivor grow and flourish. he gave him the biggest power on this earth called the brain which was developed enough to do almost anything. after doing all this he expected humans to make a differentiation between good and bad. God don't allow evil to happen, it was always there but he simply trusts his creation and expects him to find the way....

Evil came from Satan. It was Satan who tempted Eve to eat the fruit of the forbidden tree in the Garden of Eden. Nothing is mentioned in the Book of Genesis that God created Satan. But had Eve not eaten of the forbidden fruit, evil could have no way to influence man as God's creation. In the New Testament, God redeemed us all from the original sin-- Adam and Eve's disobedience-- by way of Jesus Christ's crucifixion and death. In the Book of Revelation, it is preordained that Satan will be doomed (Revelation 20:7-10).

For the followers and believers of Christ Jesus, all of these are true, and no explanation is necessary; for the unbelievers, no explanation will suffice.

Bible Re: If God created everything then where from Evil?

I think some people gave some good explanations. I just want to mention somethings.
I am a christian. And I believe that since God is all-knowing He knew Adam and Eve will sin. One reason I believe God allowed what happened at Eden to happen is because God cannot 'make' children of God, do you get. He knew we will sin, and the only way we can be redeemed is if we have eternall life and His nature, and when His life, the power of God sustains us, we become Children of God. Jesus is the Word of God, the Son of God, and He gives christians the power to be Sons of God. Also there are many things God knows we do not know. God bless you

In the beginning God created everything. Before the creation of the sun and moon and it's light there was darkness on the face of the earth. Before the creation of the sun and moon God said let there be light. God then separated the light from the darkness. The light and the darkness must be good and evil for the sun and moon were not yet created. Now God said the light was good and if God said the light was good then the darkness must be evil and that is why God separated the two.

Now in the garden of God were two trees among many. one of them was a tree of eternal life if eaten and the other was a tree of sure death if the fruit of it was eaten. Now what was the fruit of the tree of death that must be ingested? Why is the mix death? Because God separated them and said only the light (good) was good. Then God protected the WAY to the tree of life.

I am the WAY, THE LIGHT AND THE TRUTH says Jesus. Hear and obey my word and you shall never see death says Jesus. Therefore God giving man free will to choose between good and evil or to mix good and evil is nothing more than God's way of testing man to see if he is fit for eternal life in his kingdom. That is the purpose of evil.

In all religions there is some good and some evil, a mixture. If you follow a religion you become a part of what they are. If you give money or time to a religion you finance some of their good but also their evil.

Follow the words of Jesus, the WAY and the LIGHT OF THE WORLD. If you don't know the word of Jesus don't fret, God has already planted them in your conscience. You know what is good and what is evil if you listen to it. Life itself will show you also the ways of good and evil.

Go learn what mercy means says the word of life and you will know the God of life.

Why does god test when he already knows the outcome, ....hmmm let me see what human is about to do, ...hmph come on he knows everything so is he that bored or not knowing which isnt the case. if he can create everything then he can read mind too, but often in the old testament God was represented as clueless of what human is about to do. There shouldnt be such a thing as test! for a divine spirit who already knows the answer... This logical thought was an earthquake to my faith....
