Default have you ever ditched your faith only to come back stronger in it?

I was born jewish.. my family was not really into that much other than to say.. I was jewish. they sent me to yeshiva and that was about the extent of it. Other than a jewish funeral of occassional bar mitzvah we werent really jewish.

I met my huband 8 years ago. he was born a baptist( holy roller), then agnostic then athiest. All he ever had was one question that no one could ever answer...
Then we met on an aol chat room and I answered it and cut and pasted from the torah so he knew I wasnt kidding.
It was sparks ignited at that moment.

Now we are chabad orthodox. Funky, fun and loving life!
He converted and took on every commandment there is.
So we dont so much on saturday... and we have more holidays...

but it was an interesting voyage coming back and still is a wonderful adventure.
Has anyone else ever refound their religion or faith ?

I have had on and off periods with my faith... now is an off period because I don't frankly know if it is the right one for me.

I was born and raised Roman Catholic. I went to Catholic school, but I took it all for granted, and we had never gone to Church as a family, so when I started attending non-denominational boarding school, I didn't go to mass.

There I found a great group of kids who formed the Catholic Student Fellowship, and I really embraced my faith wholeheartedly. Embracing it, however, started me asking questions about it that I never would have asked back when I was a "C and E" (Christmas and Easter) Catholic.

Now I'm looking towards new paths of spirituality, because Catholicism doesn't make total sense to me. I guess what I'm trying to show with this story is that for some people, the faith they are born into is the faith for them, and for others, it is a new one. Either way, it takes challenging of the faith you were raised in to either come back to it or send you on your journey to your new one.

Default Yes

I suppose, I have abandoned my faith, but found it in my own spirituality. This has brought me closer to god as I see it and I am a better person for my spirituality and beliefs. By the way, what was the question he had, and what was the answer? I am very curious!
