End of time is near according to the Bible

The bible has said that we will know the end of times near when there are humors of wars and the actual war itself. Catastrophe such as earthquake, typhoon, famine and many more have already strike the world. Do you think that we are going to the end of time?

In many recent articles in newspaper I've got the same topic.Some are telling that the earth will be destroyed due to different natural disasters.But the most interesting one is the Maya calender which shows that its calender ends in 2012.And there is no information about 2013 & later.That means the world will destroy in 2012.

You must be talking about the planet x or Nibiru. I don’t think is that reliable at all because so many planets are always passing our beloved earth and yet nothing has created a major catastrophe.

I think there are a lot of interesting theories regarding the 'end of times' but I don't personally suscribe to any of them aside from where they draw parallels to human-created destruction. I think that as technology drastically increases, war shows no sign of stopping internationally and the environment continues to suffer we may be creating our own destruction however.

This is not the first times that such an event has been predicted. None of those predictions really happened. Do you think that this one won’t be the same too?

Remember that only God knows when it will happen.

I agree that only God knows when it will happen. I do however feel that we have seen some of the predictions of the Bible already start to unfold. However, this does not necessarily mean that we only have a few years left. No one on Earth can truly predict the end of time. I believe in what the Bible says in Matthew 24 where is says not even the Angels in Heaven will know about that day or the hour.

It's really obvious that nations around the world are preparing for war. We may not see it but these nations are gathering and producing weapons for those days. We are now at the doorsteps of the end of days, that's for sure.

Agreed, the most powerful nations of the world are now preparing for a war. I remember reading an article about something like a laser that the Americans have outside the atmosphere.

Actually people of different countries do not hate each other.It's the nasty politics of politicians who are wrongly motivating people.Noone in the world is now support war,because they know the consequences of war.

Can you explain who's responsible for Iraq war ?Did the Americans have supported it ! No...

You have a point there. I do believe that the politicians are the one to be blame because normal people like you and me won’t like risking their necks on war. In my country, if the president will declare war then of the ROTC cadets shall be called to fight for them.

As if we don't have this things around. We have major earthquakes every year, we have typhoons every year... famine is on going for almost a half century in some parts of Africa. A never ending war against terrorism!

End of time is what we will get if we don't do anything about global warming - climate change, famine in Africa - new kinds of viruses will be out due to the fact people are dieing in Africa and that place will be contaminated, then you have global terrorism you'll never know what place will blow up and the only safe place is your home.

This interests me as well. Not only because of the fact that the Mayan calendar ends in 2012 but that other ancient calendars end on this date as well.

However, just because the calendars end on that date doesn't mean that the world will end. Although, it might end as we know it.

Needless to say, I feel that the next few years will be very interesting.

I have also read at numerous places about this Mayan Calender and the same predicting of the world coming to an end by 21st December 2012....read it as 21/12/2012.....

I even read a scientific logic to it....that since our solar system belonging to a small galaxy is slowly being gulped by bigger milky-way and due to the enormous heat energy in this new galaxy being far more vibrant, it will spell dooms day for our dear earth too...at approximately the same time as suggested by Mayans.....

Do not know how much true...the theory and its logic are....!!!

I have read about the end of the world theory too. Yeah, about the Mayan calendar and also there's this scientific theory about the change of north and south pole. I can't really remember the exact term for it, but from what I remembered, it is said that a change/shift in north and south pole will take place around 2012 (if I remembered correct, I think that such an event happen once every millions/billions of years, so its supposed to be the first time human is faced with this event.) Not sure how true is it.....

No the world is not going to end any time soon. The pollution and global warming created by humans may make it difficult for a animals on earth to stay alive. That could be a cause of worry for people as well in the near future. but the earth, stars etc are going to stay here forever or at least until some thing like another big bang (or its opposite) occurs.
