Default Does God accept/reject or save people?

Caom and Able was the first story of acceptance and rejection. What were the conditions God gave Cain in order that he would be accepted after God rejected him?

The first sermon Peter gave after the Jews Killed Jesus was on salvation. Three thousand were saved. Who done the saving? Saved from what? Why was what they were saved from so bad?

With the above knowledge in mind what is the difference between the above and the message of salvation of christianity today?

Does that make you wonder what is going on?

I have been thinking about this question for sometime now. It is so deep to answer but I will try my best on the first part. I don't know the Bible very well but I sincerely believe God saves people. I also know God accepts good deeds and rejects bad deeds but I can't say for sure whether God accepts only good people and rejects bad people. I read it somewhere in the Bible that God rejected Cain's offerings and God also punished Cain for killing his brother Abel but I am not sure if God rejected Cain as a person for killing his brother Abel. If I am not wrong, rejection means having nothing to do with a person (or something) again. Rejection can be punishment but not all punishments include rejection. Even though God punished Cain for killing his brother Abel, God still marked Cain for protection so that no man or beast can kill him as he wanders restlessly for the rest of his life. I also read a story about Samuel and King Saul in the Bible. Saul disobeyed God so Samuel told Saul "...Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you from being king." God rejected Saul from being king but I don't think God rejected Saul as a person.

I don't know much about Peter's first sermon but as you said the sermon was on salvation and after all the rejection of Jesus and the good news he brought and all the insults and punishments they rained on Jesus, there is no doubt people really needed salvation. But as for who done the salvation? I am not sure. If Peter's sermon was on the night Jesus died or the Saturday after Jesus' death then I would have thought the salvation came from somewhere else other than from Jesus because a dead man cannot save. But Peter's sermon was on a different date and Jesus was alive so the salvation could come from either Jesus, The Holy Spirit Jesus sent, or the Father up in heaven.

As for the message of salvation of Christianity today, there is no doubt most Christians (including myself) are confused.

As for the message of salvation of Christianity today, there is no doubt most Christians (including myself) are confused.

Now that really blows my mind. I have no idea how somebody can be/believe in something and are confused in what they are or in what they believe. I don't know how anyone can join any organization and not know, or worse yet, not understand what or why they are doing it.

Acts2:14-41 contains the story of Peters address to the Jews who just murdered Jesus. Verse 40 is his words on who does the saving and from what. In John 8:31-47 Jesus tells us who the god is of these people and their religion. After reading these two passages you will understand what, why and from whom they must be saved. Now you will understand why Jesus called them what he did in the twenty third chapter of Matthew.

If you have been thinking about this for sometime this will be a very interesting start on part of my post. The story of Cain and Able is in Genesis chapter four the first sixteen verses. One can learn the heart of God. God did not condemn Cain. God had mercy on Cain and gave him a chance to be accepted like his brother was accepted. The God of Jesus does not punish. The God the Jews worshiped does. The Jewish god kills innocent people and animals. That god has no mercy. That god requires blood sacrifice and that is why it is a must to know who the god of the Jews and their religion is.

If you read that chapter in John I gave you it is Jesus who will tell you about them and their god. If you understand that the god of the Jews is the god of christianity you will understand why as you say, "there is no doubt most Christians (including myself) are confused".

I know this little study in truth will be a lot of fun. It will be a joy and it will be a shocker. It will make you happy and it will make you mad. It will make you a friend of the Father God of Jesus and a foe of the god of the Jews and any religion who has adopted their god. Hop on the train of truth for the lips of Jesus speaking the words of God and have the ride of your lifetime.
