Do you know what's your purpose in your Life?

at first I really don't know what's my purpose in this life, what am I living for in this earth?
But a book really helped and enlighten me with this in my purpose in life.
The Book "Purpose Driven Life" It really made me realize many things in my life and how I should live my life to the fullest with it's worth. It's a life changing book I've ever read.

I've heard of the book you've mentioned so many times Ztan1785, but I've never picked it up at the bookstore. I think the next time I go, I'll check it out.

I think we all have a purpose in life but very few know what it is. Even if you don't believe you have a set purpose in life, I think everyone's true purpose should be to try their very best to be a good person.

I don't believe in this thing like a "special purpose" of life ...if I choose to marry and have kids ,obviously my purpose is to take care of family and kids ,if I choose to remain single ,then my purpose is to please God , whatever that means (if I am a Christian,of course),maybe be a missionary or just help those in need or ....
I think God left us the liberty of choosing whatever we want to do , the only condition is to do everything like we're doing it for Him .

Can you not please God if you are married?

I think, whatever situation or status we may be in to, there is no excuse for us to serve God. He deserves to be worshiped and be served be cause He is the source of everything.

I was so confused before what is really my purpose in life. But the moment I have a personal relationship with the Lord, there I know what is my purpose.

I believe that each and everyone has a particular mission to accomplish in his life. Well for me after finishing my studies i would like to become a computer engineer since i always find computers interesting. After that i would eventually buy a large and spacious house, marry a beautiful lady & have some kids. Then I would take care of my family and kids and satisfy all their needs. That's my purpose in life.

On a more serious note, I believe everyone has some goals, purposes and whatever in life. The important to me is not what these goals are, but rather it makes you happy and you are living to the dictates of your conscience.

I have no idea what I am meant to do at all, I am still very young so I hope to learn that I meant to do something at some point, maybe in the next few years. I think most likely it will come down to my choice and I will have to create my purpose for life and do it on my own.

Well, a book deciding your life? C'mon man. This is your life and you should plan how to live it. See me I am 14, tomorrow I have my Science exam and I am online for more than 10 hours, people say I should be out playing at this time but no i love programming and that is what I do. As for my purpose, it is simple

"Make my country the best in the world".

And I am going to do it!

To me....right now.....it seems the sole purpose of my existence is to serve and look after my family well....

But I am certain that this feeling will not remain forever..... as I grow in years and understanding....

I am sure my horizon will expand and I might begin to see my country and then the whole world as my extended family.....
It is pretty natural for a human being to be money-minded in the beginning and once thats taken care of..only then he would be able to look outward of the family boundary and take upon himself to improve the society at large.

I think the author should be Rick Warren.

I've often wonder about this question "Whats the purpose of my existence?", "What am I here for", but till now, I've not found a satisfied answer.... If there's no purpose in life, why do we live for? Some people may be struggling in their life, so if there's no purpose in their existence, why not just die and end their suffering?

I don't count myself as a religious person, so I think its quite hard to find a larger purpose in life. Yeah, so I'm still in the process of discovering and trying to find the larger purpose of my own life now.

I've heard of this book, hm I might even have it... the author is Rick something or other, it's easy to find, just google the name. With or without a book I think that very few people ever find their purpose in life... they end up settling into a family and a cruddy job and they lose they ambition -- I think it's very possible that we have to continue to search for our purpose because it's constantly changing -- does this lend itself to happiness, I'm not certain but I do think there are a lot of miserable people that think they have found their purpose in life.
