Default Do you believe in Angels and guardian Angels? I saw an Angel

I think there are angels among us, not so much as guardian angels but walking around with us. One Christmas, an old man in a Walmart parking lot was asking for money. He was an old, unkept looking man who looked like he could use a good meal. As we approached our car, we saw some people shake their heads at him and continue on or go out of their way to away from him but there were a few who gave him some money. We didn't have much to give but we gave him $5.00 and he handed us a little card with merry christmas written on it. When we looked back up from looking at the card-it was only seconds- the old man was gone. There was no where he could have gone so fast but we couldn't find him anywhere. We firmly believe that he was an angel.

thanks Mary! that's a very nice story! .. yep! I do believe there are angels among us.. there are good angels and also bad angels.. there are angels with beautiful feathers and strong wings. there are also those with broken unkempt wings. there are those who appear in flashy bright light and those who disguise themselves as paupers, orphans, poor old men and women. .. Angels do fly and they can appear and disappear within a second.. that one you saw could really be a good angel.. I don't think the bad one will ever wish you a merry christmas despite the fact that you gave him 5 good dollars..

I dont know about angles. When I feel sad I want somebody to be with me but no one comes to me that time, I look for angles. I expect angles to come and give me company, but that has never happened so I dont believe that there is any angles.

Default I think angels are sent to test us too

i remember reading in an old story book about angels being sent to test us.
If we walked past one who appeared in need this woudl go doewwn in teh big book.
Clearly this was a test and you passed....
I remember when i w sin NYC theer was this couple that was homeless and tehy sued to sit everyday in front of a coffee shop that we woudl frequent with the rest of my ex husbands crew.
One day It just gto to me. it was getting cold and they werent begging, just sitting huddled. I went over adn aske dif they ahd eaten, and tehy said no. so I invite dthem to eat abig meal. Money no object.. everyuone looked ta me like I was crazy. these people ate very well.
I gave thema 20 and got them coffee and donuts to go.
Then i went home and got some extra blankets and coat and brough them to them.
I apologized for not having more. and gave them another 20 to get them to breakfast when I would be back.

The next day I cam back and they explained that it was a social experiment.
They had been doinga report on how people treated homeless people and they were amazed at my generosity.
They gave the blankets and money to a truly homless man with two kids a few blocks down. I went to find them but they were no where to be seen.
The couple I had " helped" had told me that the 40 bucks, donuts and coffee had helped them get a bus ticket back to his parents......

so you see angles can be you as well.. we are always being tested in one way or another.

Default Are angels among us?

Biblically speaking, angels cannot walk around with us literally as humans. because the bible says angels are spirits. Yes they can be with us because they can go down on earth and go up in heaven freely, since they are spirits. This is according to the bible also. I'm sorry I'm not that good in remembering verses, but I'm sure I read it. If I have time I will try to find again and will post the supporting verses here.

Default I tend to believe so

When I was younger, around 12, I had to have an operation. When I got to the hospital I went through normal prep, I also had to be put to sleep for the operation. When the anesthesiologist gave me some of the gas the world around me became unrecognizable. However, one thing stood crystal clear right by my bedside, where no one was. There was a tall emotionally strong looking man conveying in me that everything would be fine and he would be with me. Maybe it was the drugs, but I really don't think so. I woke up from the surgery 4 hours later and as soon as I could convey my intent, I made them bring me a pencil and paper because I wanted to draw this man. He was my angel, drug induced or not.

One Christmas my husband and I were very broke. He had used up his unemployment, and things were looking bleak. We went to Mass on Christmas Eve, and afterward, we joined a few chatting people as everyone else filed out.(At Christmas and Easter there are alot of people coming that don't usually go to Mass every week, so there were alot of people filing by us we didn't know.) A woman I'll call J, who is the pastoral associate at our church, came up to me and handed me an envelope. I thought it was a card from her. To my surprise there was $100 in it! I asked if it was from her and she told me no, that a man handed it to her and said something about give it to someone who needs it. J saw me, and brought it to me. I asked her who gave it to her, and she said it was a tall older man that she didn't recognise. Then she asked what was in it and I showed her. The disbelief on her face told me that what she said was true.
Yes, I believe in angels!

For me 'angels' could mean anything which uplifts my human senses and makes me believe all over again in humanism. I have had a few experiences which tell me that-Yes, angels exist and in fact they exist in all of us and it is our duty to let it free. Why look for angels outside when we all have a little capacity to be one by ourselves.

My sisters used to say that I was left alone on a high ground and I fell but I never cry. They say that I was protected by an angel because the fall could hurt any adult.

Fabulous story, mollyL. I definitely believe in angels. We can all do our bit to be angels on earth while we're here too when we're in a position to! I did something similar years ago with an unexpected bonus I got at work. I just put it in a collection can of a lady that was being ignored by all the passersby because I really believe these things come back to you threefold.

This is something I have always thought about. I worked for several years in the Functionally Mentally Disabled Unit at a local Middle School here in my hometown. I also worked in group homes taking care of both children and adults who had been born with severe disabilities. I would hear people say things like "I don't understand why these children have to be born like this." To me everyone in this world has a purpose, no matter what their physical or mental state is. I always wondered, if perhaps one of those purposes of these precious children and adults I worked with was that God had sent them down as Angels, just watching to see how the rest of us treat them and others around us.

I believe in angels that are in spirit form and I believe that there are angels in human form. Well, whatever. But everytime someone does a good thing for another person, I look at him/her as an angel. Well, maybe not an angel all the way but at least for even a brief moment. It's good to believe in such things. And it gives me a reason to believe in the inherent good in each one of us.

Cool

well i personally think that there is nothing like an Angel. the idea of Angels is just our imagination. well i don't believe in something i cannot see.. i have never met an angel face-to-face in my entire life and hence i cannot accept the fact that they exist. my brother exists because i see him everyday.
