Are women treated fairly in today's world?

Here in American us women have fought for and won our rights but what about other countries? In Iraq a woman is being sentenced to be stoned to death for committing adultery even though she claims she didn't. When being stoned men are burried to their waists and women to their breasts if they can get out then their lives are spared but it is much harder for women. Why are women treated like they dont deserve life? In the bible it claims women are evil but in reality men have committed more sins so this should not be the reason.

Even in America woman are discriminated against by men even though they have all of their rights:

Trafficking of women has become a global phenomenon where victims are sexually exploited, forced into labor and subjected to abuse. Murders of women in Guatemala, Russia, India, and other countries often go uninvestigated and unpunished.

Why are so many men so prejudice against women? Surely they know we are not evil? Do they only want control or is it because they don't like having equals?

The Bible sometimes treat women as inferior but the Bible does not encourage physical abuse of women. However, it is quite different in the holy Quran. According to the Holy Quran, women must be submissive to men under all circumstances and husbands have the right to punish their wives which is very unfair.

The balance of abuse comes from the disregard of the law of life of God.
"Treat others in the same manner as you would like them to treat you. This law is at the root of all religion but strangely none of them believe it for they negate it with teaching that makes it of no consequence. All religious leaders today are very well to do. Religion must have money to function and lots of it. Its leaders are the elite of the community. Religious organizations wealth in land, buildings, stained glass, silk and on and on is more than the wealth of many countries. So as God says, money is the root of all evil therefore religion is at the root of all evil.
