Are these days the last days of planet earth as we know it? The Bible spells it out, there will be wars and rumors of wars, nation againt nation, and so on.
The world is spinning out of control attempting to maintain the ecconomic monster we've created and the social in equalities that makes kings and paulpers.

Every generation sees certain things as "a sign of end times"

I don't see Planet Earth being destroyed any time soon. However civil unrest and wars may make it seem that way. I often wonder what people living during WWII thought, did they think it was all about to end? Probably.

It would be nice to have a happy go lucky world where there was no war or poverty but that isn't very realistic. It denies the fact that humans can be very violent creatures and we have the desire to be "king of the hill." The drive that helps us in some situations also hurts us in others.

I think yes, probably we are inching closer and closer to the end of this world. Nostradamus predicted the accurate date as 21st of December, 2012. I don't know whether the world will come to an end in an instant or not, but looking at the present conditions everywhere on the globe, I am also fearing this is the beginning of the end !

We dont know if these days are the last...but I think they aren't yet, but the last days will be very soon
Europe is getting "united". one money value is coming but it is far for now ...
But everything is getting worse so I think they have to be soon!

The myth for the end of the world is as old as the world itself and in every generation there had been people believing that their generation is the last one and they are living in the last days and seeing the revelation prophecies coming true.

My personal belief about this is no these are not the last days.
According to Islam there are still alot many events still left to com eg arival of dagal and Immam Mehanti. Currently in this world there is no one worth being called by the name of either of the two figures as dagal will have great knowledge of science and will make miracles such as making dead etc and there is no great leader or organizer who will be able to organize an entire nation under him.
The end of the world will be at a time when religion has almost completely disappeared and as we see there are still many religous scholars.

these are few of the things that make me believe that no the world will last 50 to 100 years more.

I'd say yes, we're approaching end-times. I base this on the following:

1. Nation rising against nation
Islamic terror vs everyone else. Think about it, Islam has attacked Jews, Hindus, Christians and just about anyone else within the last century. I think world war 2 was probably a small taster of what is to come.

2. Wars and rumours of wars
The media spin on the war on terror could be classified as rumours, or at the very least as half-truths.

3. The name of the star is wormwood, and a third of the waters will be made bitter.
As it happens, a comet called aphophis is on it's way due to come very close to Earth or hit the earth 2029-2033. Apparently it's big enough to cause global chaos but not large enough to completely destroy earth. If it hit the atlantic ocean that would be a large enough area to be roughly a third of the earths water.

4. Osama Bin Laden
Could Bin Laden actually be the anti-christ? He's evil enough in my opinion.

I don't think the world will end anytime soon. I keep hearing people saying, that the sun still has a lot of time before it totally burns out. They say that the sun has only wasted half of it's power by now. This whole end of the world things doesn't really bother me that much because I know it will not happen in my time. I'm just bummed I won't be around to see what the year 3000 will look like.
