Who'll lead the medal table at Beijing

Beijing Olympic is just four days to go.Everything is ready.Participants are excited to get some medals & audience are excited to know who'll get the first medal.But who'll lead the medal table at this mega event ?If we analyse on the past events,obviously USA will be the first choice.But this time we can't ignore the host country.So which's your choice nation for the leader in the medal table ?

For total medal count I would have to say the U.S. In 2004 the U.S. had a total of 102 with China with 63, and Russia with 92.
If you're talking about Gold medals then it's too hard to tell.
I don't trust China or Russia right now, but that is just me....
The Russians have a reputation of cheating, and with China being a communist state, and the Olympics being held in their country,.........well we will see.....
I predict a lot of controversy with this Olympics! I hope not!........But I do...

That is just "MY" opinion!! If you have a problem with that, then you can tell me after the games......

USA of course. let's wait and see. there's absolutely no doubt that USA is going to be on the top most. Russia is good but for China i doubt.

Right now, China is leading with 2 Gold Medals while US is 2nd with only 1 Gold and 1 Silver.
So, I think, the host country is always favorite and for this reason, China may take the lead!

I predict the USA will lead the Olympics at the end of the competition. They always seem to demolish every other country that takes part, although I do think China will give them a run for their money!

I am not against my country .
But frankly speaking, China will definitely win the championship or lead the championship because it was the winner before an it will be the leader now for sure.

This time also there would be a competetion between China and USA for the top place at medal tally.But since olympics is in china they could have upper hand.

The latest results put China on the top most with 14 medals (9 gold medals) , USA second with 12 medals (3 gold medals) , South Korea third with 8 medals (4 gold medals), Italy also third with 8 medals (4 gold medals) and Russia fifth with 6 medals (no gold medal)

USA is now leading with 22 medals followed by China with 20 medals.. however, China is leading USA in terms of Gold medals (13 for China, 7 for the USA)

At last china topped the medals table by getting more medals than other.(51 gold,+21 silver, +28 bronze=100).US had got more medals(36 gold , +38 silver, +36 bronze=110),follwed by russia (23 gold, +21 silver,+28 bronze=73).
