If Obama doesn't live up to expectation, that simply means another great depression for Americans. Yesterday I listened to the conversation with Joe Biden the vice president on CBS. According to Joe Biden, the Problem seems much more than they (including Obama) thought it was and that it is even going to get worse before it gets better. Anything worse than what we are experiencing right now simply implies a great depression. According to Joe Biden, Even Obama's economic package is not going to fix the economy in a day or two as we had hoped it would. The economic package which is around 800 billion dollars is just going to lay down the foundation for growth which implies higher taxes on the average person and greater government spending. Let me put it this way, As at now, the Obama's administration is not very sure on how to fix the economy within a year or two. We may be seeing the effects of their plans may be in the next 10 to 15 years.

It is entirely possible that president Obama might not live up to EXPECTATIONS, even if he does great in his office. This is due to the fact that expections are an all time high. All the hype created around Obama will come to an end, cos expectations are too high.

I don't know if President Obama can live up to expectations. We have built him up and have this "economic savior" mentality about him. The expectations are way too high for him to achieve. I do think he will be a great President but, I don't think he will live up to the expectations most have of him.

Even if Obama doesn't live up to the expectations, the situation cannot be worse than when Bush was president. If Bush was the president, a monkey can be a president then. I don't really have any expectations for Obama myself, however I think the man will do a fine job and give America back the respect it deserves. He is certanly on the right path to victory though.

He is working hard but if he doesn't live upto the expectation then everyone will be really sad because everyone has high hopes in him... lets pray he does good for the country and the world |

The other two were Chester Arthur and Calvin Coolidge. President Chester Arthur was sworn in by the chief justice of the New York Supreme Court at his home in a private ceremony following the assassination of former president James Garfield. President Arthur was sworn in a second time by the chief justice of the U.S. Supreme Court two days later at the Capitol. In President Calvin Coolidge's case, he took the oath of office at his father's Vermont home following the death of former president Warren Harding. Coolidge's father was a justice of the peace and administered the oath. Concerns about the jurisdiction of Coolidge's father led to Coolidge taking a second oath later in Washington. |

Obama is off to a rather shaky start. I think he is in way over his head. I do not believe he is the man that everyone is making him out to be. What happened to all the talk about hope? All I hear is doom and gloom.

Yesterday in the news, "President Barack Obama kills a fly" with a heavy blow to the chest. Of course everybody knows how to kill a fly though not all of us can do that with a heavy fist.
Everybody knows how to kill a fly but not every president knows how to fix the economy. |

I watched a video on youtube the other day entitled "The Obama Deception" and the guy hit the nail right in the head. I don't Obama is any different than former president Bush and if you are not lucky, things will get even worse than it was during the time of Mr. Bush.

I believe Obama is a good man and will do as much as he CAN do, but on 2 issues he won't make much progress!
Why do i say this? Look at the climate agenda on reducing pollution and co2 supported by Europe and Japan and many other important nations. The U.S. resisted it from the start. The U.S. is by far the biggest polluter and also the richest country, you would think it would be the first country or at least one of the countries to support and sign up to the Kyoto protocol. But no it was resisted and pretty much watered down to nothing. The argument being that it would cost money and reduce competitiveness. But this would also apply to Europe, Japan and all those other countries and yet they were willing to sign up to the original plan. Fact is U.S. Companies, conglomerates, lobbies etc hold huge sway over U.S. polices within and outside the U.S. If Signing up to Kyoto might hurt the the major industries (i.e. loss in profits) in the U.S. then it's not gonna happen, full stop. Obama will do his best, i really believe he will, but he can only go so far. Sadly. And that's where it all breaks down. Europe, Japan etc had a change to get the emerging nations on board, like India and China, but if the biggest polluter and richest, The U.S., would'nt agree why should they. I suppose as you can see i'm pretty pizzed with the climate thing, but i just think Obama has his hands tied to some degree on this issue. The Israel - Palestine issue. Do i believe in Israel's right to exist. Of course i do. Ask any American this question and they would think your crazy. Of course they do. Do i believe in Palestinian's right to exist. Of course i do. But wait i no longer hear that resounding chorus of agreement. Surely both groups have a right to exist? Ah but if the Palestinians stop firing rockets into Israel maybe then? flip the coin. Look at it fairly. If the Palestinians didn't have to go through checkpoints everyday, were allowed to leave and return freely along with family to there country, were not bombed whenever the Israelis felt like it, they might decide on a different course. Look it up, the Palestinians are one of the poorest people in the world. I was amazed to discover this! The Palestinians are not stupid, so why is this? Why build a shop when it'll be bombed the next day. Why make a business when your hampered trading with others? Fact is fact, if you push a man continually he'll push back. If your bigger and and you never let up pushing, you'll hurt him and you'll end up generating hatred in that man that will be hard to extinguish. So what's my point? There's a powerful Israel lobby in The U.S. that also has strong backing from the media there. Obama wants to proceed with A palestinian state, and cessation of the building of settlements in Palestine. I respect the man but can he really hand the Palestinian people a land of their own, to be free like the people of Israel. To come and go as they please, to become prosperous like all countries wish too? I think the pressure from back home will settle that one. I like Obama. I like what he's trying to achieve. He has respect from world leaders that Mr. Bush could only dream of. The man that says he doesn't care because America is the greatest nation on earth with the greatest military that can kick any other nations butt, i have no argument with! |
