Question The '08 Presidential Race: What Will Really Change?

I'm excited to see who ends up winning the American presidency this November but recently I've been thinking that perhaps we won't see the kind of change that everyone hopes for.

I favor Obama and would vote for him and the Democratic party if I was an American citizen but what would really change? Also; what kind of future would we see with a continuation of a Republican president?

Most probably Mr.Obama will be the future president. In many surveys,he's leading over the Republican counterpart.Win of Obama will create a healthy atmosphere at middle-east.Republicans are always in favour of wars. What's the condition now at Iraq is only due to these Republicans. So, I'll also support the Democrats.

I'm voting for Obama, mostly because he is for ending the war, he also speaks well, can captivate and audience and I think could help the image of the US abroad.

I don't think the war or our problems will go away the minute the new president gets into office. Even if Obama is elected, we still have to make sure we don't end the war in a way that would harm Iraq and hurt our relationships over there. A slow pull out is probably the only way, I'm happy as long as we bring troops home and start spending the money here in the US

I don't think the next president will really change anything. McCain will keep on doing what Bush was doing and Obama doesn't know what to do and will end up not doing a thing even though he talks about change. The only change Obama can, and just might end up doing is making things far worse for our nation.

I'm a Democrat and will not vote for Obama and I won't vote for McCain. The next four years terrifies me because we all know what McCain will do and I think Obama might be dangerous.

I hear you there skats! I could not bring myself to vote for a Republican after what Bush has put us through. I know it's probably wrong to compare the two but thats just my own personal feelings. However, I do not have complete trust in Obama either. I have a feeling that we may have alot less Americans actually voting at all than we have in the past.

I just hope the conservative movement is dead. I think Bush has done a great job of illustrating just how wrong their policies are.
