What i mean to say is, should rich nations put by a small amount of their budget by to support those very special habitats in Africa, South America (Amazon Rain forest), Galapagos Islands etc. I know at the moment a lot of the reserves in Africa are supported by charities, but should it just rest with them? Is it enough?
Take for example some of he reserves in Africa. Some of these reserves hold Giraffes, lions, monkeys, Rino's, Zebra, Gorilla's, on and on. No where in the world could you find so many animals in one area. Don't we all buy books for our children with pictures of all these animals. Don't we all marvel at these manificent creatures.
So shouldn't we help to support those reserves that contain them in the wild?
I don't know, Maybe it's a far out idea. But i don't think so. Aren't all these animal ours. Ours to look after. Everyone of us.
Or what about the commerical point of view. If there's demand you can make money. Money can help to protect that reserve.
Only problem with that is those reserves in least demand won't be protected as well as others, from poaching etc.
what ya think?
