Problems facing India today: Overpopulation, Illiteracy, Corruption

and who told you Indians are dumb? at least we are not terrorists.

I dont think there is much development or effort by the government of India as every minister in India mostly take bribes which is so bad and people are dying the ministers are not bothered about them at all.

i do not see anything progressive happening in our country,just want all the ministers not to think only about their comforts and luxuries but also of great need of financial support for the development of the nation

Indians are racist to their own people. just think about the caste system in India and Hinduism. no equal distribution of funds

the first problem that exist in India is overpopulation. it needs to be controlled by strict measures immediately.

The second problem is the corruption starting from top to bottom level
of administration. administration should work for the welfare of its citizen and not for alluring people to vote in their favour only.

the third problem is foreign products are coming to india rapidly and indians are very much used to it.for example when it comes to using toothpaste we use only colgate, when we try to buy television only samsung or sony. when it comes to buy car we prefer honda or toyota.

the foreigners are bringing their products to indian market . they are the producers and we are the consumer. although u will find that in these companies the indians are working like anything. so the problem is lack of creativity.

we need to be creative which will fetch employment for us. Also the concern of people for others is very minimal. we should stop our bright students to go abroad for better oppurtunities and allow them to flourish their talent in our nation.the other growing problems are illiteracy,lack of patriotism,lack of food and clothing and many more

Family planning and I repeat, family planning. send Indians birth control pills instead of money in the form of foreign aid. As long as overpopulation remains a major issue, India shall remain poor.

the caste system in India is more horrible than racism yet people don't talk about it.

China used to be like India but see China today. India should copy China.

note this all of you. India is not poor ok? India can defeat America anytime in battle. India is the best country on earth and yes I am an Indian and I am very proud to be an Indian.

Remedies should be taken to overcome these problems

Well said Madhuri. Who ever that Manish is, I must say that he is pretty influenced by Bollywood, that he is mentioning about some useless things that are being said in Movies, when someone says about against India. You can clearly see the education and the level of intelligence that he have. I mean what that note was all about and what he tried to mention are completely different. Yes the populations explosion is a very serious problem. Imagine what will be the outcome after 20-30 years. I can't even imagine.

Also I am not against love or affection nor Bollywood, but I must say that the entire concept of Bollywood needs to be changed. They should try to make some movies about such situations - its causes and about remedies, instead of making all about "LOVE" - marriage and producing off-springs. What I've seen that most Indian youths are crazy about Love Stories. Bollywood seems to enlighten a different story. I really think that this plays a psychological game in their minds. ( P.S. Bollywood produces the largest number of movies every year than else where in the world ).
I am not saying this as a primary cause but there are other reasons too. Like the wish of having a male son rather than having a female child. This directly affects the child production in a family, - like a couple had been trying to produce a male child but resulting in 2-3 or even more female babies consecutively.

In the bottom line - India is never going to change when we are having mentality like that of Mr. Manish and some other persons that I've seen who are raged at this nice note.

the major problem facing India today are Indians themselves. if you fold your arms and do nothing then don't blame others for your problems.

educate Indians about the dangerous effects of overpopulation. give them sex education because that is what they need most. teach them how to use condoms and birth control pills.

Jesus is the answer. Indians need Jesus not Lakshmi, Saraswati, and the other imaginary beings they worship. Mathew 11:28 says "come to me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest"

India is the most corrupt country in the world so what do you expect?

India is not poor as you think. we have strong economy and big standing army. India drives the world.

how about dividing India into 4 or 5 different countries? As it is now the country is too big for the central government to handle and it is not their fault. So the solution is simple. divide into into about 4 or 5 countries so the newly created central governments can reach the people.

Americans are poorer than Indians. infact Americans are the poorest people on earth with no moral values

We know our problems and we can solve them if we cooprate each others without waitting for help of government or any where else. be present in the sarrow of others. if you will help a student to pay his fee it will a good step to move illitercy out. if you will help a poor to be setteled you will kick the poverty out of India. when both of mentioned above would done population will become our power neither the weakness.

Unless Indians kick illiteracy, racism, and ignorance out, they will forever be poor. the Hindu "bullshit" is killing the country.

I really failed to understand why did you pick up to project India as a poor country, and a failed Nation. India like any other developing country has its own problems and is fighting with those.I thought that this article may be presentt with another way i.e
how indian rise his economy ; better facilities of education e.t.c

India is so poor and filthy take it from a neighbor. At times I weep for them.
