Poverty in the Philippines has always been one of the major issues that we face today. More or less 30 million families consider themselves poor according to the latest survey conducted by Social Weather Stations (SWS). It's a fact that the number of Filipinos under the poverty level has increased. We must conclude, though there are increases in our economy we should also sustain economic growth necessary to utilize strategies that will amend the plight of our poor industry.

The state of poverty in the Philippines gets worsen in fact it is considered as one of the major concerns that the Philippine Government should make way to resolve it. That's why when we tackle about economic growth, this will never satisfy as something to rejoice about, when there are lots of Filipinos that are jobless, when we have wages that are stagnant. It becomes more clearer that economic growth can be influenced by so many factors that have nothing to do with the well being poverty individuals.
