Default polls showing Democrat Barack Obama as the favourite

With most polls showing Democrat Barack Obama as the favourite, the Illinois Senator has described Tuesday's US election as a defining moment in American history, as he sought to become the first black American president of the nation. Obama promised to a give a new direction to the nation struggling with the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.

And above all he is having support of Indian Americans now.

Smile Re: Obama set for Win

I do agree! But above all, I think Mr. Obama is the Right Person to become the President of USA who, in my opinion, will be able to reverse many crisis that USA, and the world too because of those wrong policies, is facing now. For example, the current financial crisis and the job-market crisis in particular. I also believe that any crisis has an easy answer hidden within. Mr. Obama just needs to reverse the causes, and he IS capable of doing that. His cool, his intelligence, his confidence, and over-all his complete personality makes him the Leader the world needs.

Mr. Obama, I believe, will be able to bring "sanity" back to all concerned with his positive attitude and by becoming the President of the world's mightiest nation. I also believe that God always provides greatest answers when mankind need them the most. Mr. Obama has the right qualities and ethics who can prove that. The President of any Nation must be able to set things right, just like any head of the family. If he does that, I believe, we can see great days ahead in near future.

Thanks for this thread!

Keep smiling!

I have never given a big look into the American politics, but yes, i have heard more about Obama than other names like McCain everywhere.
This can't be called as publicity, but more mentions about him shows how much support he has got. And being the first black president(if he wins), he would be surely having some true heart in helping the nation getting better.

I just had watched his live campaigns a couple times, and like how confident and bold he is. This shows how well he would perform in the future.

What...Why would Indian Americans support them. He is all set to make indian fly away from US. He has already announced no more green cards for the indians in US. Yes thats for sure. He will surely be winning this elections.

I just watched the news on CNN and FoxNews and Obama has become the new US president of America!!

I saw this coming from a mile away and now it is the present! Whew, I wonder what will happen now that Obama is our president.

Hopefully I get some more money back after tax-cuts.

Well, I am an Indian and we all need to support President Obama, because he is the best answer to many severe problems that the US and the World is facing NOW, irrespective of whether he announces green cards or not. These issues are not taken without overall considerations. These things are much thought of before any decisions are taken. Those are American jobs and meant for Americans first, then only others get a chance, and there is nothing wrong with that! I know about these things because I have earlier worked on H1-B visa in the US.

I had studied everything that I could about working in the US and about green cards, etc. back then. Among the good Indians and others working there, there are so many not-too-good also working there. So, all are not worthy of staying back. The work there is very exacting and only the above-average can survive. So, there is absolutely no reason why the US should retain all those that are unable to cope. Of course, they will retain those who are giving them the best solutions!
