Anyway this photo has definatly ben photoshopped.
1. The filter is far too long
2. You don't just leave a cig hangin there like that when a photo is being taken unless you aren't aware it's being taken.
3. Smoking was known as bad for your health back in the 60's and therefore I don't see why you would ever start, I can't see why soooooooooo many young people do it, why? Does it make you feel tough? Or are you weak minded?
Therefore I come to the conclusion that Barrack is:
A leader who sets bad examples because he is a weak minded bafoon!
I don't have a problem with smokers, just find them weak and always wanting that cig to make em feel better.

I think the image is an edited image.
Even though it is not an edited image,there isn't any mistake that he is doing because he is not doing in the public.
he is not encouraging any one to do this.

I really don't care if he smoke 10 packs a day! It is his body, I wont get lung cancer if he smokes. My only concern is, if there will be any LAW that needs to be passed in congress that is against cigars and smoking. I do hope he will not be favor or he will inhibit himself from any decision making.

The picture looks photo shopped. But that doesn't mean that Obama doesn't smoke. But as a smoker that's trying to quit, let me tell you, it's hard to do. So if you don't smoke, don't start.

But honestly, If I knew that there was a high possibility that I was going to be the first African American president, and on topof that I know that I would have to deal with Bush's mess the first day I got in office, not only would I smoke, but I would demand that Marlboro gives me free cigs LOL.

And for some people that are wondering, smoking isn't really "frowned upon" in the states. We all know it’s bad, we all know it kills, but for some reason, most people still smoke.

I feel that this photo of Barrack Obama, apparently smoking has been edited and does not represent the fact.
I have no clue if Mr. Barrack Obama smokes or not but I must say that smoking is really uncool.
Above all I don't think a leader of a state should be smoking, sets a bad precedent, right?

There's nothing wrong with what Obama wants to do. He's doing something that none of us should mind, and that is smoking.

The only thing we should be taking note of is that he says he will be trying to quit smoking.

He knows it as well as he does that smoking is bad, and he's willing to try and give it up to become a better role model for our nation. We shouldn't smite him down for a simple picture like this.

If he does smoke it's his right, I am a smoker myself and have tried to quit many times without success. I think that stress has a lot to do with my not being able to quit so if he does in fact smoke and is trying to quit......all i can say is good luck!

That image most probably is a product of Photoshop or any other image editing program. Just like tgemus said, it even looks very "photoshopped". Look at how the cigarette meets his mouth - it doesn't look right. This is perhaps an attempt by Obama haters to make him look bad but I think people are smart enough to think for themselves. Smoking is bad and I believe smokers do not qualify as the President.

Obama has also admitted to doing crack in his youth. I really appreciate him for admitting this to the public. He could have easily swept that under the rug but he didn't. That is the mark of a good president. Whether or not he smokes is no ones problem but his.

That is definitely photoshoped. You can see that because the end on the cigarette just doesn't match his mouth, but come on. Even if it wasn't photoshoped who cares. The man deserves a good smoke. He's had a hard time getting where he is now. He deserves anything good he can get.

you are right but don't forget leaders are supposed to be setting good example.. smoking is not good and we all know that.. smoking is harmful and it kills.. Obama who is our leader knows all these but he still smokes.. This is an addiction and Obama doesn't have the power to control himself. If Obama cannot control smoking then how can he control America? smoking is different from politics but don't forget character is character.

That's true, but for a great leader it doesn't look good. It's just all bad, it kills, it doesn't smell good and you DO harm other people.
