Barack Obama is the president of the world. I know some of you will not agree but in my opinion, America is like the capital of the world. There are people from all corners of life living in America and whatever affects America, affects the entire world in one way or the other. I was very happy when Barack Obama became president of the United States because it broke several barriers for several people especially black men and women all over the world. Kenyans dedicated most of their sunday services praying for Obama's win and God answered their prayers.
I just wanted to experience the good fragrance of history. I just wanted to experience the splendor of history and all that accompanies it and that was the main reason why I prayed Barack Obama win the election. God answered our prayers and Barack Obama is now president of the United States of America. He has made history and he has broken several barriers.
The history has been made and the barriers have been broken but what next? Now it is left with leadership and decision-making. Is Barack Obama the best American president ever? well, I cannot tell because I am not an American although he is my president. Is Barack Obama the worst American president ever? once again, I cannot answer that because I am not an American although he is my president. Is Barack Obama a good leader? That is something I should be able to answer but the truth is that, I am not sure? Is Barack Obama a bad leader? I am not sure. Do you still like Barack Obama? I still like Barack Obama but not like before why because I expected so many great things to come out of him but so far I have seen none. Why haven't you seen yet? maybe I am too blind to see.
Most Africans especially Ghanaians and Nigerians often use the idiom "snake under grass" to describe deceptive and dangerous people. Snakes on branches of trees don't often bite people. Snakes in open areas often don't carry bad intentions and are not that dangerous. However, snakes that hide under grasses and dead leaves of plants often carry bad intentions and are the most dangerous and poisonous snakes in Africa.
the Black Mamba, the Boomslang, the Gaboon Viper, the Egyptian Cobra, the Eastern Green Mamba, the carpet cobra, etc. are all deadly snakes in Africa yet about 70% of all snake bites in Africa are caused by puff Adders why because puff Adders are the most deceptive of all the snakes in Africa. Puff adders unlike the other snakes mostly hide under dead leaves and blend their color perfectly with their environment. Their deceptive nature makes people fall victims all the time.
Yesterday I was searching for this Biblical term "wolf in sheep's clothing" and I came across the picture above. As you can see from the picture above, president Barack Obama is in sheep's clothing. Of course the picture was edited but as you can see, this simple picture carries so much weight. A wolf in sheep's clothing is very similar to a snake under grass. A wolf in sheep's skin is very similar to a deceptive puff adder hiding under dead leaves of plants waiting for its prey. What do you think about this picture?
