Middle East Politics - peaceful co-existence with the Israelis

I believe that Mahmoud Abba and the Palestinian Authority are truly trying to maintain a peaceful co-existence with the Israelis.
However, Hamas seems to be constantly attempting to undermine any tentative, fragile peace accord.
What if Israel teamed up with the P.A to forcibly disarm/destroy Hamas?
This would eliminate a commmon foe, as well as help to create an atmosphere of unity between the two entities.

Unfortunately, it's not so simple as Israel and the Palestinian Authority teaming up with the Hamas. What you have to understand is that most Palestinians actually agree with the Hamas, I base this on the fact that the Hamas was DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED by the Palestinian people. It demonstrates that the Palestinians in general agree that Israel should be attacked.

The Palestinian Authority might comprise of a handful of diplomatic and peaceful (and according to the Koran, hypocritical) Muslims, but there is very little that such a handful can do when faced with the genocidal will of the majority of the Palestinian people. Their hate of Israel is not as commonly believed a territorial dispute, but a religious one. The Islamic faith refers to Jews as swine and advocates mass murder.

The only way that the Palestinian people will ever live in peace with Israel is if they stop attacking it, and the attacks will not stop until they abandon Islam. As long as they still believe in Allahs message, the Jihad (holy fighting in Allahs cause) will continue.

before proceeding into discussing your point of views gentlemen I wanna talk about peace but you said peaceful CO-EXIStANCE ?!!! in this time ?!! I would agree after watching a nice Hollywood movie but once you look at atrocities abuses not to mention massacres practiced everyday against Palestinian people ...... as for DaughterUK I agree with almost all info you gave I just bring to your knowledge that Muslims who believe in Allah never attacks but they fight back
so what Palestinian jihadits doing is fighting back defending their lives their children and lands
