Default Medical Tourism to India

I have been doing a lot of research regarding going to India for medical procedures. My sister may be going as well. She is looking to get six porcelain veneers and a three crowns. I am looking to get some dental work, and also a tummy tuck The cost is a small fraction of the cost in the United States. Even with the cost of a visa, air fare, accommodation, and the procedures, it will still cost less than having these procedures done in the United States- and we'll get a free trip out of it!

Why do you suppose more people don't go to India for medical treatments? The only downside I can think of is that you don't have as much recourse to sue if something goes wrong.
