Issuing Marriage certificates to Gay people in America

until recently i thought America was always right. In fact many people in Africa think the same. we think America is always right but this is not always so. I was shocked when i heard it in the news that America is now issuing marriage certificates to Gay couples. I did not believe it at the beginning but that is the truth. Do you think Gay marriage is normal? if not why then is America issuing marriage certificates to Gay people? how can America trust in God when she gives gay people the right to marry in America? One other thing i did not like is the idea that everybody has the right to carry a gun anywhere they go. this is not that bad idea anyway but don't you think this will rather increase the death rate in America? the guns are supposed to be use for self defense but don't you think that guns here, guns there will rather do more harm than good?

i'm sorry to say this Kofi! but America is never right. For the guns thing, i'm a real supporter of that. Most people are just going "abnormal" and i think having a gun in your side anywhere you go is the best idea. taking a walk in the park was very relaxing few years back but very risky these days if you are a teenage girl. for the gay thing, not decided yet

Yeah, I'm also had to agree with Bben's thought here...

Even with the gun, you still can feel the fears of being attacked, especially when you're walking alone in the dark and creepy alleys.

It's a real fact that due to supremacy of US,most of its decisions have to accept other countries forcibly.Everytime its doings are not right.But I think gay marriage isn't so unsocial,as you think.They have the right to do as per their choice.So I don't think it's illegal.

And regarding the gun case,it's completely a wrong step.That'll increase the crime rate.Their government will have to roll back it very shortly.

I don't think America is always right but that doesn't mean America is never right. America can be right sometime and can also be wrong sometime. We are all humans and humans run the affairs of the nation and since no human is perfect, America cannot be right all the time. I voted against the gay right movement and i think possesion of guns as a means of self defence isn't a bad idea as you said but can bring more harm than good if care is not taken.

I have to agree to this BBen. "In God we trust" and yet we are issuing marriage certificates to gay couples. how can America trust in God when she issues marriage certificates to homosexual partners. this is disgusting, it is something very wrong. we all know that gay marriage is something very very bad and yet we are supporting it. America cannot be right here.

I agree with you totally. No one is perfect and to think so only makes you a fool. I do what I think is right and hope for the best.

Anyone can do mistakes and I do believe that America isn’t exceptional at all. What really is important is that we are trying to improve our way of life and thus America is just trying to do that. If they think that having some guns and same sex marriage will do them fine then let’s leave them be. It’s their life.
